Merry meet everyone, Today's post is a special spell that I got in with the Freya's box this month. This is a pumpkin wish spell that I am planning on doing tomorrow as well. I like the idea of this because its simple but effective and if you wished you could add to it if you feel you must. This spell is great to do on a full moon during this month or like I am doing on Samhain tomorrow. You will need: - 3 pumpkin seeds, dry - A flowing body of water On each of your seeds write one word that is directly related to your wish or desire. I.E for example if you wish to attract money, you can simply write money, or abundance, or wealth ect. At the time of the full moon or the day your doing this spell, take your seeds to your chosen location then hold your seeds in your hand and make your wish. It helps to decided what you want to say before you begin. You can use a little rhyme or whatever you deem appropriate as long as it is to the point and pure in intent. You then toss your seeds into the water and allow them to float away. I hope you enjoy this spell and you have a great Samhain. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x
I then add my glass box which holds my selenite wand and my chraka pendulum in, in the middle of my altar this holds the centre of my focus. I then add my Halloween pumpkin tea light holder on top which will also be the focus point of my altar. I then add both my witches to either corner of my altar and start placing items from then on.
So my candles are always a key point on my altars so I have two candle holders on either side of my pumpkin tea light holder. Two wooden ones which are my main ones and two pentagram ones which always hold my spell candles in. These candles will change to the samhain colours but as I burn theses each night I may as well use ones I have already got in them. I then add two black Halloween jar candles on either side to keep the balance. These were picked up from TK.MAX which smell amazing and where only 3.99. I then had my big 3 wick jar Halloween candle on the left side and my wooden pentagram 3 tea light holder on the right corner. Then I have a obsidian chunk crystal in the middle of the wooden holder as thats the crystal for this month. In front of my Pumpkin tealight holder I have a marble bowl full of conkers and on either side of that I have acorns and a little cute dried pumpkin which I got in a box which I will do a post about soon. In front of the bowl is a handmade broom that again I got in a box which I will do a post about. Down the side of my display cabinet I have these four leafs that shows the changing of colour for this season. I also have above my altar as always my elephant pocket wall hanging which has a dried out rose and my wheel of the year picture. I also have past loved ones images in the above pockets. The last touch was the samhain plaque that I got in my freya's box this month. I have been burning candles on this each night and will continue to up until samhain where I plan on doing my celebrations which I may do a post about in the future. I hope you have fun setting up your samhain altar and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So as you may all know by following my blog either on here or my instagram you will all know that I am a strong lover of a good cup of tea! It may just be because I am British or it may be because I was brought up having tea parties with my Nan's tea sets. Yes this was a start of my ever growing love for teapots, teacup sets and tea! Now personally I only found loose leaf tea when I moved out on my own. I brought loose leaf earl grey instead of tea bags. Now this was a rushed shop and looking back it was the best thing I ever did. I brought myself a tea strainer, (Well many different tea strainers, theres soo many cute ones!) and that is where my love of loose leaf tea begun. I find it has such a better taste then the tea bags. I did my research and tea bags are normally the drags stuffed in bags. Theres less waste with loose leaf tea because you can compost this. Yes you can compost tea bags but theses break down slower. There are many different sellers that sell loose leaf tea over tea bags because its such a better product. Not only does it taste better but its a way of life in some strange way. If I wanted a cup of tea, I now brew a teapot which has a strainer inside full of tea and carry it with me to where I am either sitting or working. It's the amazing feeling of pouring your own tea with a teapot. You just don't understand the feeling without doing it yourself. This is where my real British bit comes out. Not only do I start my morning with a cup of tea in my pot of tea, I start it with crumpets. Normally this is on my days off or my boyfriend hasn't eaten them all on me. Anyway that was a long way tell you my love of loose leaf tea! I was thinking about when I first started really getting into loose leaf, and I remember that I had a hard time finding teas that I really liked. As you know loose leaf can be quite expensive. Without trying them you don't really know which ones are good and which are poo. So I thought I would share my top 5 places where I personally get my teas from. TOP 5 PLACES TO GET LOOSE LEAF TEA: - Tamed wild! I get a lot of my teas from tamed wild. Normally from the USA shop but now they are an UK store which is easier for me to get from. My go to is always the cold + flu tea and their Moroccan mint tea. These are amazing because there handy to have in my stash. I drink the cold and flu tea when I feel a bit down in the dumps, and when I know I am getting a cold because it helps kick it in the bum. I also drink the Moroccan mint tea when I get heart burn or when I feel iffy because it sorts it out and helps me cope. Yes I am strange but tamed wild do other amazing teas that you should check on. http://bit.ly/31zARQE - English tea shop! I always get their fair-trade Earl Grey tea from here because they are amazing. It comes in a tin which is handy to have and you can recycle it! The tea is strong for me but also great because it lasts awhile. I think my last tin lasted 3 months and that was me drinking it a lot. Because I don't need much loose leaf to get the taste. https://www.amazon.co.uk/English-Tea-Shop-Organic-Fairtrade/dp/B0081ZHOZU/ref=sr_1_13?crid=1LFNLW0PN2EJR&keywords=earl+grey+tea+loose+leaf&qid=1571769273&sprefix=earl+grey+t%2Caps%2C149&sr=8-13 - Marks and Spencer! They do a small range of loose leaf tea in my local store and they are such a great Earl grey tea. I love getting this when I can't get the one above online. Their bags are only £1.80 and I had to buy a glass jar to store it because the bag it comes in rips so easily that when I first brought them I nearly wore the whole bag of loose leaf tea! - Brewing leaf! Now I found this one just within this year and they are such a great selection of loose leaf teas. I have only tried a couple of theses but they are amazing. You get a free sample with every order too to find a new tea to love. My go to is their Earl Grey Rose. (See a pattern I love my Earl grey!) https://brewingleaf.co.uk/shop?olsPage=products%2Fearl-grey-rose&page=2 - Leaf Tea! Now they have a store in Liverpool where I go in and grab some tea packers every now and then when I go there. But they do have a online shop where you can grab teas. My favourite is again their Lavender Grey which is beautiful. But you can get everything from them as they love loose leaf teas as much as I do! https://leafteashop.co.uk/product/lavender-grey/ So there it is my five top places so far to get my loose leaf teas. I hope this helps you find your love of loose leaf teas and find one that you can't live without. I will do an updated one of theses posts if I do find any other shops that sell great loose leaf because I am always on the hunt and I always love trying new teas. I hope this helps you and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone! So today's post has really got me excited and thats because I have been waiting to do this post since the middle of September! I was emailed like many others about the new UK store starting up their subscription box and that they were looking for people to be affiliated with. I thought I may as well try and applied for this honour. I was then told at the beginning of October that I was accepted and then the following week this was put in my account stated pending. Monday I got notified that it was shipped and that was when my postman stalking begun! I have been a big fan of tamed wild and their products they produce. The only down side was that they were USA based and postage put me off a lot of the time. I am a big lover of their style and their teas are just amazing! So I may of gotten this box for free but all my views are honest and truthful because I wouldn't lie you guys. So when I opened this box of goodies, I was delighted with how they packaged the box. As you can see above its beautifully wrapped in this tissue paper and each item is is protected and wrapped as well. They take care of the items they sell because they know how much we want them. The first items I took out of this box was the selenite wand, now you all know how much I love me some selenite and the amount I have in my collection is amazing. I love the energy of selenite and its such a great crystal to start your collection off anyway. I was happy to add another to my ever growing collection. With this crystal you got a cute little information sheet they produced to inform you about the crystal and how to use it which was such a great idea to do. I do hope they continue to do that with future boxes. The next item I took out of this box was their own Spirit element Tarot perfume. Now this perfume smells heavenly and I will be using this later when I do a tarot reading for this week. They stated that this perfume is to help prepare you for trance work and its the perfect addition to your tarot reading needs. Is it bad that I want to wear it all the time? It just smells amazing. On the bottle itself it stated that it has Pine, Ho wood and Gardenia in it which is why I love the smell so much. Cant beat Ho wood :D The next item I picked out the box was the 3 Wild ritual cards. Now theses cards are beautiful! Their designs are amazing and I makes me want to buy the full deck. Each card has this beautiful design on the front and on the bag its full of information about that card and what it means. Each box this month got three of theses cards randomly picked for each person. You then do a 3 card spread with theses cards. I personally would have my eyes closed before placing them so I don't effect where I put them. They then relate to your life at the moment and help advise you for the following month. I really like this idea and like I said before theses cards are beautiful. The next item I was looking forward to getting is the full moon tea. Now I saw this on the official Tame-Wild Facebook page and I love my teas. I will be posting later today on my instagram account @Paganvibesonly me drinking this tea and trying it out. It smells amazing and sounds beautifully blended together. They stated that their own blended tea was mixed with orange peel, cinnamon chips, apple pieces, rose petals and black tea. That just sounds amazing. They created this tea for a ritual brew. You make a cup or two of this beautiful tea on a full moon at the end of the night after your ritual to help replenish lost energy and to help you reflect on your findings. This is amazing. I personally can't wait to try this so I wont be using it after a ritual as such but I may have to grab some more of this tea because it wont last long with me. The next item I took out of the box was the beautiful ritual cloth. This cloth was designed with the four cardinal directions, so north, west, east and south. In the middle is this beautiful moon and star pattern. They added it to the box as a sort of tarot card cloth to do your 3 card reading on. I will have to add this to my tarot cards because its a little small for my altar to use as a altar cloth but perfect for my tarot readings which is what its for anyway. I love getting theses cloths because where I live its very limited to where I can get items like this so its always a great addition to my collection. The last couple of items I got was 3 beautiful picture postcards and one with the moon calendar for this year on. I love getting theses style cards because I can use them for my pen-pals and also to add to my book of shadows. Oh I almost forgot I also got a small gift of a element kit which has a candle, a feather, a small piece of wood and a stone shell of sorts that I will be adding to my altar later because its such a beautiful kit. As always my love for tame wild and their whole company is amazing, I have another post planned for tamed wild products because I brought one of their mystery boxes and some of my favourite tea from theirs so I will share that with you in the next couple of days too. Don't forget to check out Tamed-Wild and if you wish to grab yourself this months box there is still a couple left in the UK store as of this moment. I will add the link bellow for you to check it out for yourself. The boxes are £25 but in my eyes its worth it for the products you get inside. Don't forget they design and create each product in house none of it is from other companies which is why I love it so much. The link for Tamed-Wild is http://bit.ly/33Ih5E1 . I hope you enjoyed today's extra post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's post is another first impressions book review. Like I have done in the past ones I will share the book blurb with you all and then going into detail about why I personally brought this book, where I got it from and how much it cost. This book is three books combined. So the blurb may be a little longer than most. Blurb: 'The Wicca spell-book starter kit from best selling author Lisa chamberlain is a comprehensive grimoire of accessible, practical magic to help you future your own unique practice. The 160 magical workings within are designed for beginners and more advanced practitioners alike. Book of candle spells: Focuses on working with the element of fire, and the potent vibrational frequencies of the visible light spectrum. The spells, feature the 14 colours most widely used in wiccan and other contemporary magic, with chapter introductions detailing the magical properties and uses for each colour. Book of crystal spells: IS devoted to the magical uses of 13 crystals and other mineral stones. The spells are organised by stone, rather than by purpose, so you can develop a magical connection with different types of crystals, one at a time. You'll find an overview of the properties of each stone in the chapter introduction. Book of herbal spells: Celebrates 13 of the most widely -used herbs in contemporary magic. Single herbs are often the main focus of theses spells, with minimal additional ingredients, to help you attune with the subtle energies of the herbs themselves. Chapter introductions features the magical properties and uses for each herb. Throughout theses collections you'll find: - 168 spells, rituals, magical charms and recipes. - clear step to step instructions. - magic for prosperity, protection, romance, healing, success and more. - workings focused on 14 colours, 13 crystals and mineral stones and 13 magical herbs. - Chapter introductions outlining the magical properties and uses of each colour, crystal and herb. You can try each spell as is or adapt them to suit your own magical style. You're bound to find inspiration in each book of shadows in this collection!' So as you can see this book is jam packed with information and spell workings to help myself in the future for inspiration and also to have in my collection. I got this book from amazon for £8.99. The reason why I brought this book was because I wanted spell workings for different types of magic to help me enhance my learning and to inspire myself and to buy theses books on their own it would of cost me £15 so I thought I would get this one and save me some pennies. This is going to be a great addition to my book collection and I do love Lisa's books as you can tell from past posts. I will most likely end up owning all her books in the future but they are great books to sit down and read or even if your looking for inspiration for your own workings. I would happily recommend this book and others by Lisa chamberlain to you all as she is a great author and full of information. Let me know in the comments bellow what you all think about this book and author and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is another great unboxing review from the amazing Witch's heart. This months box theme was Spirit work, which really got me happy inside. I thought it was a perfect theme for this month and I just love it. This months box was a little more expensive because of the products inside. This months box cost me £25. This for me didn't shock me because most subscription boxes are this price and I actually like how The Witch's Heart try to keep their cost down for their buyers. Anyway back to the amazing contents of this box. I was really looking forward to this box because again the theme is amazing and I had big hopes for what was inside. This box really shocked me in a good way because the items in this box I wouldn't of connected them to spirit work but after reading the information it all makes sense and I actually learn some new things which is amazing all on its self. So I will start of with the altar cloth that I got in this months box. It was a white velvet cloth which you can see I have used it as such in the images I took above. I thought this was a handy addition to my collection because I don't actually have a white altar cloth. This one is the perfect size for my little silver table chest which will now cover. The next item I will speak about and actually share the information I got about it too was the Ancestor money. Which first look I thought it was strange but after reading into the information about it I completely understand it now. I have already planned to have this on my samhain altar after learning more about this. I think its a great idea. Here's the information they added to the box about this: "Within traditions, ancestor veneration is a big part of life. Remembering those who have gone before us is a typical tradition found all year but often gets more attention at samhain. Around this time, the setting up of ancestor altars is common, many traditions in mexico, Spain and the Americans include the leaving of meals, candles, offerings and songs for their ancestors as a way of keeping their memory and spirits alive. With some traditions, ancestors require things from the living, food, liquids and money, this is where ancestor money is commonly used. Made from joss paper, it is believed that the burning of the money sends it over to the spirit plane and to the ancestors, if the money burns with a green flame, it is believed your offerings for your relatives has been accepted and they may choose to help and improve your life." So after reading that I understand why they added this into this months box and I really like the idea of burning it to send to my family that have passed. The next item is Kananga water, now this is another new item that I haven't heard off but I have heard of Florida water which this is from the same family I believe. I had to again go to my information and read about why this was added and again after learning about this I understand completely. The information includes: A traditional cologne using within american and hoodoo tradition. Based on a french cologne, it has an old-fashioned aromatic scent with amazing spiritual properties. This water is used to leave as offerings for the spirits and ancestors, cleanse ancestor and spirit altars with this water before setting up and leave as an offering for spirits and ancestors." So I need to google if this is ok for cats to drink before I leave some out on my altar just because I know my cats will drink it and they are a pain in the bum. I like the idea of leaving this out for my ancestors though and I may have to find away around my cats. The next item I was over the moon to get because I just love theses and my collection of theses are growing slowly. I got an obsidian pendulum. I just love this item and the energy I get from this is just amazing. I will happily use this with my pendulum board this samhain. I will include some information I got here: "A wonderful method of connecting with spirits, can be used as divination or spirit work. Obsidian is a protective crystal, helping to keep away anything negative. Use with caution for spirit work, or as a way of entering your subconscious to find the answers to deep questions you haven't found the answers for yet." The next item smells amazing and I love getting theses style of items because they are always so handy to have. The High Altar oil is an oil created for spirit work. The information about this includes: "This particular oil is high altar oil designed to create a space suitable for spirit workings and to attract positive spirits into a space that you can work with, ask for assistance and communicate with." I love getting oils from The Witch's Heart because their oils can always be used on skin and never irritates my skin which is a big bonus in my eyes. This is such a handy oil to have and I am really happy to get this. I also got a beautiful smelling offering glass candle. This candle can burn for 120 hours which is a 5 day candle if you wanted to burn it for the whole 5 days. I personally wont. I will use it through the samhain month on my altar because I work and wont be able to have it on all the time. This candle smells amazing and I really need to know what hearth put in her candle because I need that scent! This months crystal is petrified wood, which isn't a crystal as such as more of a fossil but its a new one for me and I am happy to add it to my ever growing collection. I just love learning about new crystals and this one is a new one for me. The energy it hold is amazing and I am looking forward to working with this one. Overall this box was amazing like all the others hearth has done and will continue to do. I am hoping to be able to get next months box but I can't promise because they sell out as fast as they are put on her website and also with christmas coming up I may have to think about the pennies. I will see you all in the next post and I hope you have a great week ahead. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So this weeks spell is one to help you find love. This is only a helping hand to find love, you will have to actively look for it too. This is only a part of finding love. No spells can do everything without you doing something too. You will need: - A pink candle - A lighter - A waxing moon You will need to do this at night with a waxing moon above you. Don't worry about clouds because the moon with still work with a clear sky or with out one. Light the pink candle at a window, make sure you keep any pets away from the candle while doing this. I would say keep your door closed while doing this spell so your not interrupted. Gaze into the flame and think about what you are looking for in a man. Dont be too picky because the perfect man/women is just a dream. No one is perfect so think of the top three key things you are looking for and limit yourself to that. Think about where you might find this love, by joining a gym, or going out with some friends, joining a local club. Anything is possible. You could just speak to your friends saying you are open to love and that may be the way you find it. Keep your eyes open and don't shut any doors. Once you have imagined all this you then say: 'Fire with you I sow, True love that I not yet know. Soon will come the day, When true love comes to stay. Make my and his/her heart blaze and shine, To bring a relationship so fine, And bless with true love this heart of mine." You then blow out the candle, kiss it three times and then put it away. You do this spell once a week until you have established a promising relationship. I hope this helps you find true love or gives you the power to keep your mind open to the idea of love. This spell was from the green wiccan spell book by silja. Her books are amazing and really helpful for every day issues you may face. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is another mystery bag from the Hare's emporium. This one is a witchy themed mystery bag so it is full as items to help towards your craft. This mystery bag cost me £8 of ebay but they do also have a shop on etsy which prices may vary. I got this because I wanted to do some mystery style packages for the blog because they are quite interesting to get and you never know what you get as well. I just love theses. So I will go through everything I got and the information I got with each item. Turquoise beeswax rolled candle: "Turquoise is the colour of balance, healing, purity, relaxation, new beginnings and confidence. Use a turquoise candle when you want to encourage inner peace and spiritual growth". Amazonite crystal: "Heart/throat chakra aids with balancing emotions. Aids with calming and soothing the soul. Promotes changes and transformation. I embrace all my emotions to help myself grow". Nag champa incense cones: "Uplifting, stress busting scent. Great mediation aid. An all purpose incense that can be used for any type of magical workings, or in the place of another incense scent". Comfrey herb: "Feminine, water, Saturn. Use a pinch in a pouch for protection. Promotes safe travel, protection, purification, stability, abundance, endurance and healing". Himalayan salt: "Pink salt can be used to attract love, romance and friendship, as well as for protection, especially for the home. It can also be used for wishes, healing, abundance, prosperity, dreams and lunar magic". Thats everything I got in this mystery bag. I like the idea of these mystery bags because there such a cute and fun idea. I may do some more in the future so keep your eyes out for them. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is all about the crystal Kambaba jasper. So as you all know I love my crystals and this is one of my latest additions to my collection. So I have been looking into all the information about this crystal and it sounds like a really good addition to my ever growing collection. The magical properties for this crystal is: Peace, tranquillity, courage, psychic workings, healing and wisdom. Now I need that peace in my life at the moment with work taking over everything. At this moment the crystal is sat in front of me and I already feel calm and relaxed which makes working on my blog posts amazing. Kambaba jasper is a new name for the fossilised stromatolite algae and is also sometimes known as crocodile jasper. Doesn't that sound amazing! Kambaba jasper is a stone of peace and tranquillity, imbued with the nourishing green energy of nature. Its dark mystic circles and deep green swirls comforts and protects, calms and relaxes, soothing troubled minds and restoring balance to the body and spirit. Which as you all know I really need at the moment. Its such a great crystal to have with me in work as well. Its slow steady frequency expands one's ability to focus and is a remarkable aid in meditation, granting the release of negative thoughts and feelings, especially those that frequently plague one's consciousness. Stimulating the heart chakra, Kambaba jasper draws wisdom from its ancient life energies and encourages one to open the heart to loving the self and others more fully, and increases the ability to receive love in return. Kambaba jasper reduced your inner fears and increases your self worth, bringing inspiration and courage. It brings wisdom and the ability to get along with others. It is a stone that is extremely good for seeing and interpreting auras and help with access to the akashic records. Kambaba Jasper is said to help with the assimilation of vitamins and minerals and in cleansing the body of toxins. It also boosts the immune system. As I have said through out this post this is such a great crystal to have in your collection. Its such a great addition and really handy to have if you are really stressed out or your life is out of balance at the moment. Like I stated before my life at the moment is crazy so this is well needed at the moment. You should get one of theses in your collection because its a handy crystal to have. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's post is extra special because its all about a samhain box that a friend of mine made and sent me. I brought this box from her because its too cute not to and she is such a talented person. She has her own shop on etsy and also sells items on her instagram. What caught my eye about this box was the fact that its beautifully done and also all items that I personally couldn't get in my area as such. I also love the personal touch she did to this box because I can't use smudge sticks in my flat so she changed some items in the box just so I didn't miss out. So first I got a handful of information sheets about samhain and recipes that I really am looking forward to trying out. I have now added theses to my spell book of shadows because they are just amazing to keep. I then got a dried rose which is now on my altar which I have a post coming for that. I also got a beautiful handmade broom which is also on my altar it smells amazing and its beautifully made. Then I got three small jars full of items, the first one was egg shells which I personally never thought of using as I don't normally eat eggs unless I have baked it in something. I then got some mixed incense and a charcoal disc to use which I can use this so I am well made up with. The incense smells amazing and she made this all herself! The last little jar bottle was full of homemade black salt now I have a lot of black salt from past boxes which I use around my home and also in spell dolls. Its a great item to have to help banish negative energy and unwanted forces. I also got some spell candles which I had added to my altar too and some crystals which she added instead of a smudge stick because I just can't use it. So I got a obsidian chunk which is beautiful and I don't have one so happy addition to my collection! I also got three other small crystals which one was a selenite which I love! and the other two where a smokey quartz and a citren I believe. I have put theses away now so this is all of the top of my head. I also got some coffin nails which I am unsure how I will use theses but they are handy to have so hey ho. The last couple of items are decoration items which have all been added to my altar because they are amazing! So I got this really cute dried pumpkin which I will keep forever because its cute and why not. I also got a couple pinecones and some conkers to add to what I had already saved up. I love the idea of the changing coloured leafs which have all been added to my altar. This whole box has been added to my altar in some aspect which I just love because it makes my altar seem more special as it came from a friend. I would check my friend out shes called @Green_witch86 and she is amazing. She creates and crafts all the items she sells and its all made with love and blessing. I hope you enjoyed this post and yes this is an extra post for this week as I am building up to something amazing. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x |
