Hey all :) So a local shop was reducing lose of loose teas because they weren't popular. Well thats what I think the reason is because the use by date is 2020! So I thought Ill buy one of each knowing that I may not like them but for £3 each it doesnt hurt to try them. I know my loose tea that I normally buy is £5 -6 ish so for £3 to try teas is a good price. I will first talk about the lemongrass peppermint and tropical punch loose tea. Now I haven'tr tried any of theses yet so this is just my first impression of them and what they smell like. I love the smell of lemongrass and for me its a very summer tea. When I opened the tea the smell was really strong, the peppermint took over the lovely smell I thought it would be. I am hoping it doesnt smell that strong when I actually brew a pot of it. I am hoping I like this tea but if not then no tears will fall. The herbs thats in this tea includes: Lemongrass, peppermint, hibiscus, rosehip, chamomile. There is also some fruit mixed in which includes: apples, mango, peach and pomegranate. So this tea is packed full of different tastes and I am really hoping these tea teases amazing. I will do a post about this tea once I have tried this and let you all know what my views are on the tea. The second tea is the aurum verde wake up loose tea. I thought I would try this tea as I love having a tea in the morning to wake me up. This tea is 100% healthy and natural and I thought it would be a great way to wake up on my days off or even if I am in work in the afternoon and it wakes me up and makes me energised for the day. Whats in this tea is: Rosemary, fennel, wild angerlica root, lemon balm, peppermint, yarrow, hawthorn, buckwheat herb and sage. I just opened the tea bag and it smells amazing. Its not over powered by one herb I think its a natural balance between all herbs included. I really can't wait to try this tea and again when I do try this tea I will do a post about it as a review explaining how it teases and if its worth the money. (for £3 it should be) The third tea is the shine bright tea made by the same people from above. This one I thought I could drink when I am feeling down in the day. Its got some great herbs mixed in this tea and when I saw this I was really happy about it. I just opened this tea bag and omg it smells amazing. I must say I have high hopes for this company and both teas so far have smelt amazing. The herbs included in this tea is: Fennel, dandelion, liquorice root, nettle, golden rod herb, ground ivy herb, ladys bedstraw, birch leavbes, lemon balm, mallow and chamomile. I will have to try this one too soon. I think I am going to do a post each day I am off work talking about theses teas. The last tea is for one before bed called relax made by the same company as the last two teas. This one smells amazing and just the smell of it makes me want to go to sleep its just amazing. If you don't know I suffer from insomnia. Some nights are worse than others and I only get a couple hours of sleep. I am hoping this tea will help me get a good night sleep and from the smell I have very hopeful thoughts. I know I would have to drink this an hour before I want to go to sleep but omg this tea smells amazing and I want to try it now! The herbs included in this tea is: Rose hip, fennel, heather, hops flowers, lavbender, lemon balm, white dead nettle and mullein flowers. I really can't wait to try this tea. My plan is to try theses teas within the next couple of weeks and I will do a post for each tea. I am really hopeful for the three teas made by aurum verde but the first tea im worried that the mixture is just over powered by the peppermint herb. Hopefully all teas are amazing and I have good reviews for all of them. See you in the next post. Blessed be. MissDoomie xx Hey all,
So last week I went to Liverpool and brought some items that I am very happy to share with you guys. As you will most likely know by now my two go to places for all things witchy is the olive tree and magic willow. Theses two shops are amazing and well worth having a look into. They are really good at pricing items not too dear and well worth the money. The first item I will be speaking about is my necklace. I brought this amethyst and quartz wand that the lovely lady at magic willow cleansed and charmed it with good luck. I have been wearing this all week and it just brings me such calm and peaceful energy. Its hard to explain but this necklace was well worth the £10 I paid for it. It was my little treat to all my hard work that past month haha. The second item is my chakra bracelet again from magic willow. My nan actually brought this for me because she knew how much I wanted a long chakra necklace and no one does it. I have only been able to wear this on my days off because while I am in work I have to wear items we sell. I also brought a cherry quartz from magic willow because I havent actaully got one of those and it was the first time I heard about it. It also connected with me because of the crystal is for anxiety relief and as you all may know about me by now is I suffer from panic attacks. Not as much as I use to but they still come and go as pleased. I try my best to control them now and this crystal may help me with that. My brother brought me the floral cloth from lush. Behind their tills they have all theses beautiful wraps that they normally wrap bath bombs in. My nan wouldn't let me by it as she said I already spent loads (not in lush by else where) so my brother brought it me instead haha. One way to get around it hehe. I have a feeling this may be my summer background for my altar. I keep saying I will post about my new altar set up that I did months ago but I am still working on it. I am not happy with it yet and hopefully that will change soon. I just cant work out the layout yet. One bold street in liverpool there is this cafe that sells loose tea. I brought a leaf strainer that my brother had and says its the best thing and two sample teas that I would love to try. I also brought some sample teas for a friend of mine because his birthday is coming up and I am doing him a little bundle of items that I hope he loves. The last thing I brought or things were from the olive tree and the last time I went I didnt notice they did long incense sticks until my brother pointed them out. My brother is a great person to go shopping with because he has an eye like no other. I brought 6 packs because they do an offer where if you buy 5 you get one free. These are £2 each and you get roughly 15-18 sticks in each pack. They are handmade and the olive tree orders them from a local guy where they have to give a number of packs they would like and he makes them fresh for the shop. They are amazing and smell great. The smells I got were: one dragon blood, one cherry blossom, two nag champa, one lemongrass and one ylang ylang. I will be buying more of theses next time I go to the olive tree because they are well worth the money. I do hope you liked this post I do try to do haul posts often because I do get asked where I buy my items from and I love supporting the local small shops. See you in the next post :) Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So yesterday morning I got my pagan parcel box. The reason I am doing this post today is because I was in work yesterday and I was soo tired when I got home. Thats what happens when you do a lot of hours when your not use to it haha. Anyway when I opened this box it smelt heavenly. What ever was inside it was making the whole box smell amazing and I just couldn't wait to open it. But you know the drill I always read the information that I get with this box first because I always find the most amazing information that terry puts together for each box. Terry is the creator of this box and it is a UK based pagan box. The main information sheet I thought I would do a little snip-bit of what terry put on it. Terry has created this box that has the focus of July's full moon which is known as the blessing moon. Terry mentions that when this full moon is about its the perfect time for divination and dream-work. Which is why the theme for this months box is dreams and meditation. All about self love and how to use the moon at the fullest.
This months box overall is amazing. I love the theme and I love the items that came within the box. I love how terry works his ass off to create these amazing boxes for everyone each month. He puts his heart and soul into theses boxes and you can tell while going through the items. Each item was selected to go along the theme he put together. The journal, altar cloth and dream catcher all connects to the dream theme. The bath salts is connected to relaxing and meditation. The herbs and candles are always added to each box which I love because you always runs about of theses items. The crystal is always added to the box each month and I love this too because I collect crystals so this is perfect for me. I always welcome new incense and the holder that was included with this was perfect for someone who is a beginner to the box and also to incense. He thinks about everything. You always know how much I love the information sheets that terry includes in theses boxes because they are amazing. They are helpful and great bits of information for your book of shadows. Theses have helped me alot when working within my book of shadows because I do transfer information across because its helpful stuff.
This box is well worth the price I payed for it. I am 100% not sponsored by pagan parcel, so all my reviews are just me loving this box. I actually save money each month to be able to buy theses boxes because I personally feel its worth it. If you would like to try this box check this link out https://www.paganparcels.com/pagan-parcel-delux . The box is only £24 a month and its well worth that amount. The passion and love terry does for each box is real. Its all from him and his partner who spends time out of their busy lives to create theses parcels for people like us wanting to learn more and also have a treat at the end of each month. Its fab you know where I stand on this box so why dont you try it even just once?? I hope you enjoyed this post and that you do think about trying this box out. I will see you in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie xx Hey all, So, this month I brought a magazine called spirit and destiny. I buy this one sometimes while waiting for the one I normally get which is the soul and spirit magazine. Anyway this months magazine came with theses really cute cards. Empowering affirmation cards for every area of your life. I thought I could pick one card from each section for the next couple of months to help you guys to feel the love and also a way to use theses within my blog. I have gone through them and thought theses are too cute not to use within my blog. Everyone needs a bit of love sometimes and a way to feel better about themselves and this will help with that even if you dont buy the magazine you get the love. There are four sections love, wealth, positivity and health. I will do one card for each section for the next couple of months and see if you feel the love or not. Theses cards will be picked at random so it should help within that month to help you feel loved. After all we all need some love in our lives. Health 'I am happy and healthy' Positivity 'I release anger and let in joy' Love 'If I give love, I will receive love' Wealth 'The universe will bring money my way' If you read theses and think about them all month they will come true and help you in their own way. I think they are really cute and really handy to have when your feeling down. So don't feel down and be positive and love your self guys!] Hope you enjoy this post and like to see more of this themed post in the future. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So as the weather is getting hotter and the bugs are out biting I thought I would share my best mixture that helps soothes those nasty bites. I have been using this for many years now and I am not sure where I actually found the recipe for this but its amazing. I got the idea of doing a post about this because on sunday my nan was doing some gardening and was bitten all up her leg from nasty bugs. So I whipped up some of my bug bite healer and thought this would be handy for you lot to have as well. Its a very simple mixture and all the items are easy to get. It saves you loads when you do get bitten. you will need: - Witch hazel (this is the carrier for the mixture) - Lavender essential oil - Tea tree essential oil - Frankincense essential oil - a small bottle to store the mixture. I first put 12 - 18 drops of lavender essential oil depending on how big the bottle is your putting the mixture in. I then put 10 -16 drops of tea tree essential oil again depending on the size of the bottle depends on how many drops you need. I then put 8-12 drops of frankincense essential oil into the the bottle. Once all three essential oils are in the bottle top it up with the witch hazel. I always fill it 3 parts witch hazel and I shake the bottle for a minute after. This helps mixture the essential oils with the witch hazel. Then all you have to do is put some of this bug bite healer on some cotten wool and rub it on the bug bite, or dab which ever you feel is better for you. I always carry some of this around with me in my bag and I do have some in work as well just in case. Its amazing and all natural items are instead this so it shouldn't harm you or your skin. I do hope this helps you lovely people over the summer months and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So today I will be talking to you about two books I brought a couple of weeks ago. I still haven't finished reading them but I thought I would do first impressions and may be a little bit about what they have to offer. The first book is the flower essences I brought this from the works bookshop for £2, which is a bargain! The reason why I brought this book was because I wanted to learn more about flower essences and the uses that can help within your daily lives. This book includes how to make flower essences, chakras and subtle bodies, the flower essences lists and information about each one. As I have been looking into chakras at the moment this book jumped out at me even more. I want to be able to live naturally and flower essences you can buy in health shops to help with sleep problems, skin rashes and emotion drain such as depression and anxiety. I have used theses before within work and there fab. It was another reason why I wanted to learn more about them and how I could make my own instead of buying them from shops. As you know its going to be cheaper in the long run. This book over all looks fab, reads easy and gives me loads of information. I may even do another review about it in the future once I have finished reading it all. Its well worth the money I spend on it and if you are interested in this book and your from the uk go to your local works bookshop because its amazing. As you all know I have been really interest in herbs lately and it didn't help that I got a load of herbs in the kit I brought a couple of weeks ago that I did a post about. I want to learn everything I can about herbs as I believe its a simple but effective way to do natural magic within your daily lives. I want to learn as much as possible about what I can do with the herbs I own and herbs that could help me within the future. This book I also brought from the works bookshop for £2 and again I will say its worth the price. I haven't finished reading this book but its full of information that could help anyone looking into herbs. The book includes a brief history of herbalism, Herbal healing, Herbs for everyday use and a herb glossary. Its a good book to start off your herb research off. Overall this book seems like a good read, I have only read the first couple of chapters but its easy to read and gives great information. If your looking into getting information about herbs this is a good book to start off with and for the price you can't go wrong. I will most likely do a post about what I have learned about theses books in the future as i think it would be a good final review of theses books. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you too check theses books out because for £4 for both theses books its worth the price and its a great add to your book collection. As you all know I have a good growing collection myself. Blessed be MissDoomie xx Hey all, So today I am going to write about my crystal collection. I have been collecting crystals for many years now and even thought I am always buying crystals, I never really knew how many I had until I spent a day sorting through them all and seeing what ones I needed and what ones I had that I could use. I thought I may as well do a post about my collection. Bare in mind my collection is huge and there are still a load of crystals I am working on finding out what they are and their ability'a are. Once I have worked out that load of crystals I will do another post about them and add it to the crystal collection. (they are at the moment in my green chalice so keep them away from the ones I know the names off) I have kept them apart so I can spend time working with theses and finding out what their names are. I have even asked for some help on the pagan app I am on which I may do a post about that too. But for now I will write about the crystals I have and I have cards for them telling me what they do. Pink candle means - Affection, Friendship, Companionship, Spiritual healing, Love, Caring, Maternity and Femininity. Theses are used in magic for - Romance, Spiritual awakening, Partnerships and Children's magic. With all theses above you will be able to achieve what you set out to do within your spell work. Think about the colours of candles your drawn to and ask yourself why you are drawn to them. Sometimes your spirit is trying to tell you something and you just dont know it. At the moment I am drawn to violet candles and from doing this post I know that I am on a path of wisdom at the moment. Which I knew that anyway but its an example for you. Make sure you are using the correct colours of candles for your spells you dont want it to have a different effect you set out to do. If you can't get the right colour candle then use plain white candles and they are pure so they wont effect your spell as much as if you change the colour to green when it needs to be pink. Be careful not to leave your candles side when its lit. I know most of you have the brains to know this but I have to make sure you dont leave your candle lit while your away. Hope this post helped you with your candle magic. If you enjoyed this post comment bellow and also let me know what other types of information you would like to know in the future posts. Blessed be xx MissDoomie xx Hey all, So today I brought a couple of items that I needed or wanted to stock up on. There was also one item that my nan brought me for my window which I will show you at the end. The image next to the text is one item I ordered yesterday of amazon. I wanted some crystal chips for wish bottles and other bits and bobs that I plan on doing in the next couple of weeks. Theses were only £6 which wasn't bad knowing that you dont know what you get. The bottles are random in each box that I read in the comments so many people have brought a couple of theses sets and thought it may vary some times you get the same which is funny in my option as you can't have to many crystal chips. You get nine little bottles with crystal chips in. Each bottle is labled so you know whats inside and they are really cute. Once I have used all the chips inside I will have to reuse theses cute little bottles. What crystal chips I got was: unakite, snowflake obsidian, moonstone, amethyst, rose quartz, red jasper, garnet, lapis and amazonite. Theses will all come in handy for future craft-work. I plan on doing some posts about things using theses in the future so keep your eyes out on that. There were also the market stalls out today in front of my work and they had this stall selling incense. Now I have brought from them before and there amazing. £1 each for a pack what more can you ask for. So I brought two more packs of nag champa because I can't get enough of that incense it will always be my favourite pack no matter what else I try. I brought a pack of egyptian dragon to try, water dragon to try and glimpse unicorn. I love the elements and stamford brands so you can't really hate their incense. Theses are three I didn't see last time but I wanted to try these and I have heard good things about them. Here is the image of the sun catcher my nan brought me today from the same stall I brought my incense from. Its beautiful. I plan on cleaning my windows this friday on my day off and putting my sun catchers up ready for the summer sun. I love this because its a tree. Under the tree there are two cats sitting there which connects to me really well as I have two beautiful kitty cats of my own. Anyway thats all from me today, I have the rest of the to relax and chill as I am in work again tomorrow. YAY ME! hah. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So the weekend just gone was a good weekend over all. I was off work Saturday so I got to spend my day off with some mates of mine. I spent that morning having a shower and relaxing. It was good knowing I didn't need to go into work that day. I love having my little lazy mornings in a way it gives me some times to recharge and de-stress. The afternoon my mates came and we chilled and caught up on life. Its been a while that we could spent a day together because of work and life in general. We went to the local pub where we had a meal and laughed and joked. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with my mates because its been so long and i missed them. The meal was fab and the image I have added to this post is the pudding my boyfriend had. Doesn't it look yummy! haha That afternoon we spent at mine playing games. We played janga which was funny because of the faces everyone was pulling trying to win and not knock the tower down. We then played empire monopoly which was strange. I like the old one better but it was fun. Its strange how much I miss playing board games. I think we need to do it more often. Just chilling with mates playing board games whats not to love. The weather is getting warmer so we could have a cold drink and play games while enjoying the sun or even just spending one night every couple of weeks chilling and playing games. Everyone loves console games and pc games but what about board games the sort of games we were all brought up playing with family on thoses very rare nights we all sat down and got along. Board games are amazing and it just reminded me how much I love them. Sunday I was in work. I love work but sunday just dragged on. It was slow and because there was an event in our town we were quite. It annoys me how quite work can get. I spent most of the day making jobs for me and my work friend to do. We spent most of the day cleaning and when customers where there they were our attention. It was funny thinking about it today but yesterday drove me mad. I am going to include today because I wasn't in work today but am all week. So today has been a strange day people. I spent the morning waiting for a parcel for a neighbour and looking at laptops. Now I decided I was going to save up morning to buy myself a laptop one that I could do my blog on while not sitting at my pc desk. Because its getting to a point where I want to spend time away from my pc. I want to sit in the front room and relax but still want to blog or work on ideas for my blog. I want to sit in the sun and write about how that feels but I can't because I have to sit inside to blog. So my morning was me looking into laptops ones that did what I needed but not too over powered or priced. My nan came to mine this morning and saw that I was looking into laptops. She asked me why and I explained I wanted to be able to work on my blog on the go and be able to take it to work with me on the days I open up because then on my lunch I have something to do. She said she could buy me my laptop as an early birthday present. I was like my birthdays not until September :') Long story short she helped me out and got me the laptop I wanted. Its a 2 in 1 laptop so I have the best of both worlds and Its just perfect for what I need it for. I am actually doing this post on the laptop now while I home sit for a family member. I am slowly getting used to this keyboard but apart from that its amazing. I just need to get a laptop case for it so I can take it to work with me. :) Best weekend by far that I have had in a while so I am happy. I do hope you all had a lovely weekend too. Blessed be x MissDoomie xx |
