Hey all,
So today I want to share a ritual/spell with you that I found in one of my wiccan books. The book is called Wiccan Wheel of the year magic by Lisa Chamberlain. Its a good book full of great spells and rituals that help you celebrate the witches year. Now I love this one because its simple and you can do it within an hour. With my busy work life and family life I need something that I can do if I dont have much free time. This one is golden and I will be using it myself this Beltane. Beltane core theme is the fruitful abundance created by the union of the goddess and the god. You can spend your time asking theses divine energies for wisdom in helping you manifest your own personal abundance during the coming season. This is a great opportunity to deepen your personal relationship with the gods and goddess, by simply talking with them in your own words for awhile before pouring the wax. You can use different colours for the deity candles, such as orange and green if that resonates more with you. You will need: - One red candle (god) - One white candle (goddess) - One work candle - Small heat proof plate. First light the work candle and place the plate between the two deity candles. Light the goddess candle, speaking words of greeting to her as you do so. Light the god candle and greet him in a similar manner. Spend some time talking to your deities about your hopes for the coming season. Ask any questions you have about any abundance related issues or developments in your life. When the candles have accumulated enough melted wax, pick them up together and gently tilt them over the plate, pouring in overlapping circles so that the colours mingle together. You may want to do this a few times as the candles continue to burn lower. When the was has dried, look carefully for images and symbols that can point you in the direction of your stated goals. So hopefully that helps you celebrate Beltane and honour the deities along with it. Dont forget to have a look into the Wicca book series and like I said before the spell above is from the Wicca wheel of the year magic by Lisa Chamberlain. Until next time xx MissDoomie xx Hello my darlings, Now today's post is something special for me, last Friday terry put on his Facebook about this new kit he was working on and omg its amazing. I wasn't going to buy the kit because there were loads of items in there I didn't need or want. I wanted a lot of it too though. I spoke to terry about it all over the weekend, in fact terry probably got sick of speaking to me :D He said If I brought the kit he would do something special for me that would run along the theme of that kit but some things would be just in mine. It was because I didn't need the book of shadows and other little bits but the rest of the kit I wanted. Terry told me to put my faith in him and he didn't disappoint. The images above show bits and bobs of whats in the kit and the butterfly pea herbs I brought with the kit as I wanted to try the tea. Bellow I will list what herbs I got in this kit and oh my god! theres loads. Lets just say I wont need any for a while and I am still going to get some in the pagan parcel for April :') Herbs included: - Hyssop - Angelica root - Skullcap - Vervain - Lemon Balm - Rue - Chickweed - Dandelion leef - I also got sage with a shell and charcoal in a little kit. I then ago a handful of spell candles which include: -Two brown candles -Two green candles -Two orange candles -Two red candles -One white candle -One black candle. Now terry must of known i had a lot of white and black spell candles because I really needed other colours more. I also got two oils one being purification oil and the other being altar oil. Now i have two of the purification oil as I got that in last months pagan parcel but knowing that I will use this its handy to have two in my collection. I also got a handful of crystals that I just love. They are: - Citrine - Black obsidian - Amethyst - Clear quartz -Smoky quartz - Tigers eye - Rose quartz. They came in the first draw in my chest inside a purple velvet pouch which is really cute. I also got a bath salt spell/Ritual in my kit which I really look forward to doing. Now that I know how to use them within the shower because I only have a shower where I live. I also got a couple of teas. Now lately I have been posting a lot about my loose teas and my tea pot of amazingness haha. Yes that word is made up and its mine! Anyway terry must of read my mind and put some teas in my kit for me to try. - From the pictures above there is butterfly pea tea that I brought myself along with this kit but added it with the images. - Sink into watery depths tea with a practikal magick label on so that must be one that you could get in the practikal magick subscription box that terry does. - Yerba mate herbal tea - Sleep and dream tea - Luna tea. Now I really do need to message terry and see whats in theses teas because they smell amazing and i would love to be able to make them myself in the future if i have the right herbs. The last little bits I got in the kit are amazing and thats why I have left them to last and when I say little I mean ALOT! haha: - Two wooden candle holders with one gold and one silver candle tapers. - One small goddess statue and One small horned god statue. - Green man altar cloth (which i may pin up behind my altar because its too pretty to have items on it) - Three incense boxes by satya (emotions, nag champa, handan) - I got a small pot of frankincense resin. (which on the label says the rusty cauldron which is terry's shop where he lives) - I got another small pot of altar incense. Smells amazing as well. - I got two spray bottles like the one I got in my last months pagan parcel. Ones a smudge spray to clear the bad negative energy away and the other is palo santo protection, peace and clarity spray. Theses are both made by terry and his wife I believe. They both smell amazing and really can't wait to use them. - I got a karma scent candle thats jasmine. Smells amazing and will happily use that on my altar once my old candle runs out. (which is nearly there). The best thing in this kit apart from all thats above and the chest it self was the charka pendulum that I found in the chest bit while looking through the kit. Its beautiful and amazing and i just cant stop smiling while looking at it. Its just amazing. The whole kit is just amazing. Its well worth your month and terry knows all! haha. Terry listened to me and didn't put anything in that I didn't need which I am thankful for because it meant I got all new items or some that I would use and try. The kit that I have been speaking about that terry does is £55. As you can see from above its amazing. Its worth all the month in the world and if your starting off its a great starter kit. For me its just building what I already have and I just love it. I was even looking into buying another pair of candle holders because my altar is longer now that I can have more candles on the go. This kit is just amazing.
Hey all,
I have seen that many people have been answering questions on facebook, some random and some more personal. I like this idea so I went through theses questions and wrote down a list of them and I will answer them within posts. It something to post about and also I can get more personal about is as my blog is my ramblings. So todays question is ....... My fave place to be is? Now I love being surrounded by family and friends, But I do love my own space. I would save at this moment of time my favorite place I spend most of my time in is my office. Thats just because when I am not in work I would rather relax and check stuff on my computer and spend time near my altar. I love reading my books sitting near my altar listening to music in the background. Its relaxing and while I have the home to myself I always get my cats full attention so they are always chilling with me. Speak to you later xx MissDoomie xx Hey all,
Now from the title of the post you should all know what I am going to be talking about today. I went to Liverpool last week as you guys know and I did a haul post about it. I said that I left some things out because they will be having a post all on their own. Well this is it. I have been looking for awhile for loose tea leafs that I could buy and try. I didn't want to buy any offline because I wanted to support local traders and also I didn't want to spend loads when I wanted to try them out. I have used loose tea leaves before years ago, I loved how strong the tea was. The reason why I have gotten back into them is because I got some loose tea in my February pagan parcel, and it just reminded me how much i love it. The two teas I brought last week was the earl grey tea leaves because who doesn't love earl grey tea. Its my favourite tea in the whole wide world, not that I have tested all the teas the world offers but this is one I always go back to. The other tea I brought was Darjelling tea. Now I haven't tried this one yet but I love the smell of it and it just smells amazing. I have a thing about smelling tea leaves its just amazing. My tea strainer doesn't fit in my small tea pot so I have brought a new teapot with a strainer built into it so I dont have that problem again. When that comes I will try this tea out and let you know what I think. I also want to start buying and trying other tea leaves that people do so if you have any recommendations let me know in the comments bellow. I love loose tea because its very natural, No need to have them in little bags that have been done in a factory when you have a tea strainer and you do it yourself. I am a tea lover I can't stand coffee it gives me headaches most of the time from just smelling it. So if your a tea lover like me you should really try out loose tea leaves because they are so much better tasting then what you get in tea bags. Hopefully you you enjoyed my little love rant about tea and I will see you in the next post. Blessed be MissDoomie xx Hey all,
Again I have been reading through the little big book of white spells and found another great spell or blessing if you wish that could help you all out. This one is using candles. Meditation spell Light two white altar candles on any day of the week. Burn three frankincense tears (also known as cones) on a charcoal tablet, and for a little bit of inspiration add a pinch of crushed mandrake root on top. (note mandrake root is poisonous so please dont inhale, if you worry about using it then dont add it in) To open up your third eye, continue by lighting two purple candles. In the middle of them place a lapis lazuli crystal that has been cleansed with lavender essential oil. Start your meditation as usual and repeat whenever you meditate. So all together you will need for the ritual above: - Two white altar candles. - Three frankincense cones. - A charcoal tablet. (I personally wouldn't use this myself ) - Pinch of mandrake root for inspiration. ( again I personally wouldn't use this myself) - Two purple candles. - Lapis Lazuli crystal thats been cleansed with lavender oil. If you find this would help you with your meditation why not try it out. As I said before I will post a couple of blessings, spells and rituals from the little big book of white spells because I find them helpful and really cute. MissDoomie xxx Hey all,
So this morning I had a lovely surprise from the postman. Even though he knew I would ask if he had it today. I got my pagan parcel box from march! As you may know I made a note about it being late in past posts this month. I had spoken to terry who does theses boxes and he even posted on his Facebook page explaining why they were late. It has nothing to do with terry hes amazing. Just imagine working your butt of getting 1000s of boxes each month out on time and then being told that the postman has lost loads of them. That was the nightmare this month for terry, lucky for terry he has subscribers who care and understand. This months box smelt heavenly because of the bath salts and the herbs. I really am happy for the wait of this box it just means I will love it even more. What I got in this months box was: - The sheets of information which you get in each months box. Its why I love this box millions because the information terry does helps you with your learning and explains things clearly. He will also help you with the basic knowledge that you should know. Like this months box has a sheet about candle colours and its importance. Now I think thats funny because I did a post about candle colours and uses last night for next weeks post. Its like terry has read my mind. I also got a sheet of information about shielding techniques and Beltane for the solitary witch. I also got a sheet of information about the wonderful herbs I got in this months box. Its amazing how much terry puts into theses boxes, the time he must of spent working ideas and information for each box. Bear in mind this isn't his only subscription box he has and works on each month. - The two herbs I got in this months box was Mullein and Lavender. Now I have used lavender before but not heard of mullein so I will spend some time learning the uses of this herb when I next have a spare day free. - I got a bag of Beltane bath salts. They smell amazing and I really can't wait to use theses. I spoke to terry about how to use theses without the use of a bath as where I live we only have a shower. Terry is really helpful and told me to used fabric bag like the one I got my crystal in and have that around the shower head. - I received black salt in my box also. I haven't heard of this before so will have to either ask terry or look it up after this post. It looks smokey and all I can smell are the herbs I got in the box on them haha. I may do a post about black salt depending on what I find out about it. - I got another crystal and I don't have this one in my collection yet so thats good. This one is the Mahogany Obsidian. Beautiful natural gem. Its for empowerment and helps strengthens and protects in times of need. I will happily use this in my daily life. - I got two white spell candles and some purification oil to anoint the candles with. on the little bottle is says to purify the home once candles are anointed. This may be great for spring cleaning. I will have to try this next weekend when I have time free to do so. - Now I know terry reads minds for this one. I received in this months box a spray. The calming and relaxing spray terry makes and sells in his shop. He posted on his Facebook page about this and I've had it in my basket on his online shop for ages now. I was waiting to get paid this month and I am happy I waited now. Thank you terry it smells heavenly. - As you know we always get some kind of incense in each box. This months is Satya natural handan incense. Now I haven't tried this out yet as I have oak king burning in the background but smelling this box is giving me high hopes on the smell. I think I need to do a post in the future about all the incense I actually own and whats my favourite because I have tried so many. - Now last but least is the one item that caught my eye when I opened the box. A little chest box beautiful design sat there in the box waiting for me to say hi. Its amazing and if you know anything about me you should know I love my storage and I love little chests and I just think this is soo cute. Its fabulous. If you would like to subscribe to this box I will put a link into this post bellow. This box is £24 a month which is well worth it if you ask me. Terry also does other boxes that may catch your eye check them out and see for your self how amazing theses boxes are. https://www.paganparcels.com/pagan-parcel-delux https://www.paganparcels.com/copy-of-home Blessed be <3 MissDoomie xx Hey all,
This is a small post about how great it feels having a tidy space. Haha. No seriously though, You dont understand how great it feels having a space tidy and looking fab. The image above is just part of my new altar set up and it looks fab. Even if I do say so myself. Now I love my incense I use it all the time and I have both stick and cone forms of incense. My cones still need sorting out into a pretty looking space like this but I am just so happy with how this looks. I know I am rambling on again like a crazy women. I have been looking and researching into how others store their incense, herbs and oils to no end and I was just inspired one day and came up with this. I am using Manson jars and one of my cat candle jar holders with the main incense I use. I then have my jar of lavender herbs in front and my bell I got with my pagan box a couple months ago. I also my my owl candle there that shows wisdom is near by. I am thinking of may be getting some fairy lights and lighting up the back of this but that may be a big over the top what do you all think? I know this was random but I just love how this looks and once I post about my whole altar you will understand why if I haven't already posted it before this goes up. MissDoomie xx Hey all,
I did promise a post about my haul from my Liverpool trip yesterday. Just so you don't get shocked there will most likely be more posts this week, thats just because I have some free time and have actually caught up on all my ideas for blog posts. Anyway back to what I brought yesterday. Now most of theses items are from two different shops. I did buy other stuff that wont be added into this post thats just because I plan on doing a post for them away from the haul post. Also to keep them a surprise for my what I have planning :) I will do what I do best and speak about what I brought and why per shop I have been into and brought items. Like I stated above there will only be two stores mentioned today but it helps you guys out if you know where I brought theses items from just in case you want to get them yourselves. Magic willow The magic willow is a small shop in Liverpool, I wont say where they are yet because they are moving as far as i know the place hasn't been decided yet. I will most likely do a post about my fave local pagan shops in the future and let you know where to find them as well if you are local. What I brought from here was: - A load of information cards that goes along my natural gems. This helps me have a better understanding on what gems I have and also what they do. I can also tidy them better so when I need them I can find them straight away. The list of natural gem cards I will post down bellow at the end. - I brought my self a sodalite crystal because Its good for the charka and I am starting to get an understanding on charka and what the uses are. I also brought the information card to go along with this. - I brought myself a lapis lazuli crystal and information card. That is because I need this for spell-work in the future that I am planning on doing. Its always handy to have one in your kit anyway. - I brought myself a tree Agate. I love the look of this crystal and I knew I didn't have one in my kit. I also brought the information card to go with it. - I brought myself a Red Jasper crystal. This is again to go with the charka path I am going down and I really am looking forward to learning more about charka and its uses. I also brought the information card to go along with this. - I brought myself a blue banded agate because I needed one for future spell-work and also it connects to the charka path I am learning about. I brought the information card for that also. - I brought myself a clear quartz crystal as well. They didn't have any cards for this crystal but I know the information for this one anyway. I did have this crystal years ago but it seems that I lost it with the move. - I brought one black and one white feather. One to symbolise the god and one to symbolise the goddess. I have to hide theses away from my cats but when I plan on using them they will come in handy. The information cards I brought just to go with crystals I had already got where: - Red tiger's eye - Black obsidian - Hematite - Rose quartz. The magic willow only charges 5p 10p tops for theses information cards and if you have as many crystals as I have you would understand how useful theses are when looking for one to use. The olive tree I mentioned yesterday that I found a new shop I love. Now what I brought from this shop wasn't planned but where things I needed anyway. - I brought the elements of change by glennie kindred book. I love how its presented and really can't wait to read it in my spare time. - I also brought a load of spell candles for future workings. This was because from everywhere I have been she had the best collection of spell candles and the colours that I needed. The colours I brought where : - Two purple - Four green - Two blue - Two yellow - Four orange I have spent a while looking for theses colours and the magic willow doesn't do theses like they do the white and black candles. I saw them and was like yes NEED THEM!! lol. They weren't that dear either which was a happy surprise. Anyway thats all that I brought yesterday that I will be mentioning. I will know be spending the rest of the afternoon sorting through items and doing the boring adulting jobs as of washing clothing. Haha. Blessed be, MissDoomie xx Hey all,
So today was a day off from the norm. I decided yesterday with my nan that we should go down to our local city and shop til we dropped. Most likely looking through windows til we drop. Anyway I had to go to the local haunts where I normally go when I am in Liverpool city. That is the hippy shop on bold street which is amazing and all their fair-trade stuff is beautiful. I went there looking for a pretty fabric cover like cloth that I could hang up behind my altar but unfortunately I didn't find one that I liked or what I wanted in the first place. I did say I was a perfectionist when it comes to my altar. The next stop on my route around fabulous shops was the magic willow in the central place. Its where all funky and strange shops were located but now the owner is pushing everyone out and the only couple shops left in there. Lucky for me magic willow is still there for the time being as shes the local witch shop. For me anyway. I brought some crystals and other bits from her because I needed to build my collection and some where for my spell work. While I was there I bumped into a really nice man, bit older than me but was on the same path as me. He was really knowledgeable about things and it just blow my mind. He told me that there was another shop like this down the road called the olive tree. So we went to this shop was 5 minute walk from where we were in magic willow. This shop just wow. They had drapes of hippy clothes over the walls. Bookshelves everywhere full of books you wouldn't even imagine. Candles handing up and incense all over the place. It was heaven. I brought some candles ect from this shop because they were just the ones i needed and omg I will be dreaming about this shop. It was just beautiful. I was so made up when I found it. Thank you kind stranger who I bumped into in magic willow you made my day. Overall I had a great day out in Liverpool with my nan and brought what I needed or went out for. There are still some things I want or need that I am looking into but that will have to come in the future. For now I will leave you all happy and inspired to look around your hometowns and cities because you just don't know what amazing shops are around the corner. I will do a shopping haul when I get a chance and hopefully there will be the march pagan parcel box coming this week to you all. I am keeping an eye out on Mr postman to make sure he brings it too me haha. Until next time xx MissDoomie xx Hey all,
Now you have all heard me speak about the almighty book of shadows but I haven't actually explained to you all why I keep one and what the purpose of one is. A book of shadows is a personal journal of sorts that you can keep all your personal findings, blessings, spells, rituals and information in to help you on your path. For me my book of shadows is more of a grimore than a book of shadows but I like the sound of the book of shadows more. A grimore is a personal book you write all information and spells down without adding your personal views, findings ect. Other people can read your grimore as its not a personal book its more a information storage. But my book of shadows is a mixture of both. I have all the information I find down the way in my special box or my book of shadows. I keep tables of information in there and add my personal views so i use it how I see fit not how many people explain it should or should not be. Growing up my mother never explained to me how important a book of shadows was then again she never really sat me down and explain many things. The reason many pagan, neopagans, wiccans, witches who ever and what ever path you follow keep a book of shadows because it is a a special book for you to keep track of your leanings, teachings, spells you have used, herbs that have been great importance to you and so on. Now for me I will never share my book of shadows with anyone unless its my own child one day. That is because its very personal to me and I dont want anyone touching my book and putting their energy on it. I make sure that I only write in my book of shadows when I am happy, positive and healthy. I dont want to put negative energy around my book, I believe that it needs to be kept surrounded by good energy. That is my view though you dont have to follow this view at all. Its just my personal belief. You can look up book of shadows on google and there will be 100s of information, check lists and what you should and should not do. Dont follow theses down to each letter. Its your own personal book that you want to enjoy creating and working with. Its not a chore, you need to enjoy what your doing or then whats the point in doing it? Here are some good tips and tricks I found really helpful when looking into making mine. - First get some ideas, do you want to make it digital or do you want to write it all down into a special book or journal. It all depends on you. For me I have a pinterest board for all my information, tips and tricks that I may use in the future but not sure about. Then I have a leather bound fair-trade book as you can see in the picture above. This book cost me about £30 but its worth every penny. I use this book to store all my information I have used or use all the time. This book is always by my side when I am doing a spell, meditating, using the cards or just connecting to my spiritual path. You could be happy to have a folder and store everything in there. Its completely up to you and how you can see yourself using it in the future. - Secondly what you put in your book of shadows is up to you. I will do a small list of themes that I have used for mine and or will be adding into it in the future. But like I said before its completely up to you as its your own personal journey and book. My themes - candle colour chart, Now I use this chart all the time. I need to know what colour candle would work best with the spell I want to create and use. - moon faces, knowing your moon faces is a great way to connect to the moon energy and also you can learn a lot about how theses moon faces effect your spell depending on when your doing it and why. - times and days of the week, This is again a really good idea to look into. Different times of the day is used for different effects on spells, thats the same about what day you are doing the spell or ritual. - elements, I would say you need to learn about the elements, it was the first thing I was taught on my path. How to connect to the elements and show your thanks. Its a really good way to learn spell work as well if you are knew. Elemental magic is a great starting point. - Herbs, We all need to know what herbs do. I have a big section in my book for herbs and every time I learn a new herb either through my pagan box or though my own research that I will use within my craft I add it to my book. Saves me time in the future to find out what herbs would work best for a type of ritual or spell I want to do. - sabbats and their rituals, You cant have to follow the sabbats. I know many pagans that only celebrate the main ones, for me I celebrate all of them even if its just a way to say thank you to mother earth. Most of the time I spend an hour celebrating because I am in work that day. - divination, This is a big part for me because I use my cards a lot. I am slowly learning about runes and my pendulum and will be a great add on into my book. - personal page, I myself wrote a personal page in my book because I wanted to explain my journey. I have gone many years without a book of shadows and didn't realise how useful one is. So I wrote a page about my start onto the path, what type of pagan or witch I am and my best friends (my cats who are always near mine within my craft). - everyday uses, I personally put this one in because I am find myself emotionally drained or stressed. As you may know I do suffer from depression and panic attacks. I have added in my book of shadows ways of combating this, either by mediation or crystals and essential oils. All items that have worked and I use them a lot. Its a great natural bonus that you do this daily or within your routine because then your connecting to mother earth and your spirital path without even trying. All these ideas and tips you can use within your own book of shadows. I personally looked into what other people where doing before I found the right path for me. It took me months to find the perfect book for me as well and now I dont look back. Dont rush into anything, thats the biggest mistake I did when starting up my book of shadows. I wanted everything to be perfect and neat and in order. Now I have realised that life isnt like that so why should my book be. It is in order to some degree but nothing as perfect as I first wanted it to be and I love it no matter what anyway. Hope this all helps you out within your book of shadows and within your own studies too. MissDoomie xxx |
