Merry meet everyone, Today's question is : what is your favourite place to visit? I personally love being within nature. I don't get to go to the pinewoods often enough because its not as local as I wished but it is one of my favourite places. I love going there in the summer where you can see nothing but green leaves and the breeze of the sea coming through the woods. The sound of the birds singing away and the peaceful feeling you get walking through mother natures wonderful park. If anyone knew me personally that reads this blog you would already know that I am a big tree hugger. I just love being surrounded by trees and the breeze passing me like a hug from mother earth herself. Just writing about this in this post makes me want to drop everything and go to the woods. Bear in mind its 8 at night :') I hope you have a special place like I do and you get to visit it more often than I do mine. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is all about peppermint herb. All the information in this post is from an information sheet that I got in one of the many unboxing that I have done. I thought it would be a good idea to share the information and also would be a good idea to have a digital storage of the information for myself. Used to increase the vibrations of a space or in spells and incense for healing and purification. Place in sleep pillow to ensure a peaceful sleep and bring about prophetic dreams. Used to anoint furnishings and household objects. Burn in a new home to clear out sickness and negative energy. Use in magical workings to provide the push needed to bring change to ones life. Carry with other herbs to boost love and abundance wishes. Also known as brandy mint and lammint. I hope you enjoyed today's post and find it useful. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Now Beltane is next week and I thought that I would share a Beltane chant that I do in the morning of Beltane while lighting a candle. I am personally normally working on Beltane this is why I do the chant instead of the full blessing and casting ritual. I always find that this chant is a way to honour Beltane without missing it completely while working. I do hope you love this as much as I do. I have had this in my book of shadows for years and I am unsure where this is from but its just beautiful. Chant "Friends that in the circle stand, Heart to heart and hand to hand, Bringing Beltane to the land, Let the sleeper awake! Let the flames of Beltane burn, May the old ones now return, May we of their magick learn, Let the sleeper awake! Let the streams and fields be pure, Earth and sky be clean once more, Love and laughter long endure, Let the sleeper awake, Forests spreading, peace returning, Where the pagan fires are burning, Now the inner light discerning, Let the sleeper awake! May the lady's touch again, Rest upon the barren plain, With the sunshine and rain, Let the sleeper awake! Beltane magick here we sing, Chant the rune and dance the ring, Joy and blessing shall it bring, Let the sleeper awake!" I normally at this point either snuff the candle out and go to work or let it burn down completely then go on with the rest of my day. It depends when I have time and what time I am in work that day. When saying this I always image a coven in a circle chanting this but because I am only one person I have made it my own. I normally have a circle of herbs or flowers around the candle while I chant this. I hope you enjoy this post and that you have a lovely Beltane next week. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's post is another mystery box that I have been trying to get hold of for a while. This use to be a subscription box but the lady who created this box decided to do themed one of boxes instead. It helped her control how many boxes shes doing each month and also how much stock she needs for each box. The box that I got is the theme protection. This box cost £19 and for what I got I can see how the price worked really well. I will go through all the items I got in this box and speak my mind about each one, some I really enjoy and love and others I am just thinking whats this haha. This box came with a small information sheet that is jam packed with information about all the items in this box. I like that she has tried to not use loads of paper and its all eco friendly. The introduction to this box is as followed: Protection magick is one of the most widely used practices throughout the world. Often one of the first variety of spells that beginner practitioners try, it has an important part to play as we develop our practice. From spell work and ritual , to charms and protective tools, there are a huge range of practices, I'm hoping to touch on a few of them in this box. That introduction to the box is short and sweet and gives you a great feel about what you will be getting in this box. I love how she introduced her theme and the reason she did this theme also. Its such a great box for information. Now the first item I will review is the black salt that I got in this months box. Now I use black salt a lot and I did need some more as mine was running low, so this is such a great item to get in this box. The information states "Black salt is a wonderful tool that is used by many people cross traditions. Also known as witches salt, it is a powerful, yet simple prospective tool to assist in protection against negative energy, spell work and unwanted spirits". For me personally I use black salt for protecting my household, I put it along the windows and door frames and around my altar to protect my space. I know others that use black salt to clean with which for me isn't something I would like to do but there are so many different ways to use black salt and its a really handy item to have in your kit. The second item is the protection wash that I got in the box. This item is something I personally never thought of and its such a great item as well. The information sheet states "Our washes can be used in a few different ways, this particular blend is created with the intention of assisting in spiritual, psychic and energetic protection of a person, space or home. Ritual washes can be used in several different ways, they can be used as a floor wash, add half the bottle into a bucket of warm water and wash the floor from the front to the back of the home where there is hard floor. Use as a surface wash, dilute some of the wash and wash windowsills, door frames or altar spaces to bring protective energy, or dilute half of the bottle into a warm bath for a ritual bath to being spiritual energetic or psychic protection to you before spell work". Theres a lot of information about this wash and for me personally I will most likely use it to clean altar tools and my altar itself as its such a lovely smelling wash. The next item is the nazar amulet that I got in this box. Now this item was a little strange to me because I have seen it a lot in fashion but never through much of it until it came in the box. The information sheet states "Across a large proportion of the world, there is the belief in the evil eye, and is very prevalent in Jewish, christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and some pagan cultures. The evil eye is believed to be a glare cast upon someone unsuspecting in order to cause injury, illness or even death on the person inflicted. It is found within a large range of cultures and in some areas the fear of the evil eye plagues villages and entire nations who fear the effects of the evil eye on their family and babies. The nazar amulet is commonly used to help counter the energy of the evil eye. Often placed in windows or worn on the body, it is believed that the nazar amulet repels the gaze of the evil eye and the blue colour helps to bring in positivity and health". Thats a lot of information about something I have never really thought about. I will have to look into this some more because after reading the information included I am actually interested in this amulet now. I also got in this box is the witches bottle spell. I love getting spell kits because it helps me build on my spell work and also learn other aspects of spell work others do. The information sheet states "witches bottles are powerful protectors for practitioners. Working as a scapegoat, witches bottles act to direct negative energy, spell work and crossing towards them, directing the energy to the bottle rather than to you. Working as representation for you, inside a spell bottle are items that represent you, including a tag-lock from yourself as well as reflective tools to reflect the negative energy away from you. Generally witches bottles are stored either in your property or buried outside, when they break, it is believed they have done their job". I love this idea of a spell kit and I will be doing this spell in the next week because its something that I can work with. The last two items I got in this box is a black bees wax candle which smells amazing as I love the smell of bees wax. This is handy for my collection so that a great handy item and the second item is the serpentine tumble stone which is another crystal to add to my ever growing collection. The information about the crystal states " A highly protective stone, serpentine is unusual and less well known that similar protection stones. It can help offer balance and energetic protection, can help clear away negativity and allowing you to be open to positive, uplifting energies". I personally have heard of this crystal so I will be looking into this one a bit more this week. Overall this box is well worth the £19 and is such a great box. Each box changes slightly in price depending on what the lady who creates the box has in mind of theme and whats going inside. I would love to try another box of hers in the future but it depends on the theme she does and also my money that month haha. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone,
Today's question is : what is your favourite pagan music? Now this will be a small post because I love Celtic music. When I need to focus on either working on my craft or doing a blog post for here I listen to the calming nature music. For me I type in celtic music on youtube and loads of beautiful sounding tunes comes up. I personally don't have a favourite producer of the music yet but then again I believe they are all so amazing and calming. I haven't looked into other types of pagan music but for the time being this speaks more to me than anything else and does help me focus when needed. I hope you enjoyed this very small post and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's herb is Hyssop. All information I put in this post is from one of the information sheets that I got in one of my many unboxings. I thought it would be a great idea to share the information and also I have a digital storage of it for myself. The most widely used purification herb in magick. Lightens vibrations and promotes spiritual openings. Used for cleansing and purification. Said to protect property against burglars and trespassers. Used to consecrate magical tools or items made of tin. The best herb for physical cleansing and washing of temple, ritual tools or oneself in bath magick. Add to baths and sachets, infuse and sprinkle on objects and people for cleansing or hang in the home to purge it of evil and negativity. This herb is also known as yssop or ysopo. I hope you find this useful and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie Merry meet everyone, So here today I will be sharing a simple protection spell that I have had in my book of shadows for as long as I can remember. I am not sure where I got this spell from and who the original owner was but its a really easy spell to cast and has helped me out a lot in the past. For this spell you will need a candle of the colour you have chosen, anointing oil and a crystal or stone of your choice. Light the candle you have chosen. Then say: "I call out to the spirits; hear my words, allies, As I go forth today, Let my mind be alert" Then anoint your forehead with your oil you have chosen. (make sure that its one that wont irritate your skin. Then say: "As I go forth today, Let my heart be true" Then anoint your heart, and say: "As I go forth today, Let my path be trouble free" Then anoint the soles of your feet and say: "As I go forth today, Let me be focused, Let me be just, Let my way be easy" Then anoint the stone or crystal you have chosen and say: "Let this be the touchstone of the protection I desire" Carry the stone with you now and it will protect you, you can recharge it with this spell again when needed. I hope this helps you in the future and I hope you enjoyed today's post. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is a review on my Freya's cauldron subscription box that I have been getting now for the last three months. This is one of my favourite posts that I get to do each month because I do really love doing these reviews. The box was brought with my own money so all views are my own. So I will start of with the information sheets that I got in this months box. I love getting these information sheets because they are just so helpful and really interesting to read. The first sheet is information about the herbs I got in this months box. I will talk about that more later in the post. I also got the colour correspondences information on the back of the herb information sheet which is always helpful. The second sheet is the cord spell thats been included in this months box, we also got the kit to go with this which I will again speak more about that later on in the post. I also got a sheet of information about Beltane which is always welcome and really handy as I am at the moment doing my Beltane pages in my book of shadows so this will be very helpful. I also got a sheet of information about what I got in this months box which is always helpful to make sure you got everything in the box. Bear in mind that these are mast boxed and they can miss something even something small. (This has happened to me in the past which is fine as I just contact the owner of the monthly box) The first item in this months box is the Ho wood oil, now I love getting these anointing oils I have a couple of these now and even though I haven't used them as much as I should they are really helpful and smell amazing. Well some of them anyway. The information states that this oil helps to break patterns of holding onto a dissatisfying situation especially due to the fear of the unknown. This can be really helpful and will be great in my kit. The second item is the spell candles I got in this months box. I love getting these candles as they are really handy to have in my kit and I go through them like god knows what. The next couple of items is the herb post, I got lavender and rowan berries and then the third box was a Beltane mixture which will be really handy to help celebrate on my altar. I love lavender so I will happily use this with the herbs I have and the rowan berries is a new one to me so I will have to do some research into this one. I got an orange calcite crystal and information about the crystal. Now if you know me you know that I am a big fan of the crystals and this raw crystal will be a happy addition to my collection that is ever growing. The next item which for me is a little strange but also welcomed is the pentagram pin badge. This was added to the box instead of a jewellery piece which is fine as I collect badges so this is welcomed in one aspect but also its just strange to get in a witchy box. I also got a small spell candle holder which is really handy for the one candle spells that I do but normally add a second candle as I have two candle holders and my OCD would kick in if only one had a candle in. Like I mentioned before the spell kit that I got in this months box is the cord spell and in the kit I got a candle and some cord which I will read the information sheet later on and see what its for. There must be some purpose to Beltane as this months box is focused on that theme. I also got this beautiful Beltane sabbat plaque which I will put on my wall above the altar later today once I rearrange my altar display. I really like this item as its beautiful and something I don't own. Its also something that I can have on my wall for the month which I do love doing. Overall I enjoyed this months box and I will happily continue to get this box until I either find its not on the path I want it to be or that I get to that point where I need to change it up a bit. Now stating this I have got another box coming this month which will most likely be the end of this month as I wanted to trail this box. I wont go into detail but I am looking forward to this box and the review I do on it. I hope you all enjoyed today's review and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's question is : what is your favourite pagan artwork? So personally my artwork changes depending on what I stands out to me. I don't normally stick with one artwork that has taken my breath away because many do and many stand out to me. At this moment of time the artwork that stands out to me is the one included in this weeks post. The artist is unknown because I found this while looking up information for my book of shadows and this just stood out to me. The mother earth in a form of the tree with a man looking up towards her. That for me personally speaks volumes to me and its why this has stood out to me. I would love to see what you all love artworks wise because I always love seeing other artworks and how different people are effected by different works of art. I hope you enjoyed todays small post and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is about the herb bladderwrack. All information is from a sheet I got in one of the past unboxing posts and I thought it would be handy to share with you all. Carry in a charm bag for protection during travel, especially when travelling by water. Fill a small jar with whiskey and add kelp and cap tightly. Place in kitchen window to ensure a steady flow of money in the household. Use in sea spells to summon the spirits of the sea by throwing it onto the waves and calling them. This will gain their favour and they will assist your magic. Make an infusion of the plant and scrub the floors and doors of a place of business to attract customers and bring good vibrations to the business. Use in sachet to increase psychic powers and carry for protection against unseen forces. Also named: cutweed, kelp, sea spirit, sea wrack and sea oak. The planet is moon and the element is earth. You use this herb for the following: protection, sea spells, wind spells, money and psychic powers. I hope you find this post useful and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x |
