Merry meet everyone, So today's post is another mystery box that I have been trying to get hold of for a while. This use to be a subscription box but the lady who created this box decided to do themed one of boxes instead. It helped her control how many boxes shes doing each month and also how much stock she needs for each box. The box that I got is the theme protection. This box cost £19 and for what I got I can see how the price worked really well. I will go through all the items I got in this box and speak my mind about each one, some I really enjoy and love and others I am just thinking whats this haha. This box came with a small information sheet that is jam packed with information about all the items in this box. I like that she has tried to not use loads of paper and its all eco friendly. The introduction to this box is as followed: Protection magick is one of the most widely used practices throughout the world. Often one of the first variety of spells that beginner practitioners try, it has an important part to play as we develop our practice. From spell work and ritual , to charms and protective tools, there are a huge range of practices, I'm hoping to touch on a few of them in this box. That introduction to the box is short and sweet and gives you a great feel about what you will be getting in this box. I love how she introduced her theme and the reason she did this theme also. Its such a great box for information. Now the first item I will review is the black salt that I got in this months box. Now I use black salt a lot and I did need some more as mine was running low, so this is such a great item to get in this box. The information states "Black salt is a wonderful tool that is used by many people cross traditions. Also known as witches salt, it is a powerful, yet simple prospective tool to assist in protection against negative energy, spell work and unwanted spirits". For me personally I use black salt for protecting my household, I put it along the windows and door frames and around my altar to protect my space. I know others that use black salt to clean with which for me isn't something I would like to do but there are so many different ways to use black salt and its a really handy item to have in your kit. The second item is the protection wash that I got in the box. This item is something I personally never thought of and its such a great item as well. The information sheet states "Our washes can be used in a few different ways, this particular blend is created with the intention of assisting in spiritual, psychic and energetic protection of a person, space or home. Ritual washes can be used in several different ways, they can be used as a floor wash, add half the bottle into a bucket of warm water and wash the floor from the front to the back of the home where there is hard floor. Use as a surface wash, dilute some of the wash and wash windowsills, door frames or altar spaces to bring protective energy, or dilute half of the bottle into a warm bath for a ritual bath to being spiritual energetic or psychic protection to you before spell work". Theres a lot of information about this wash and for me personally I will most likely use it to clean altar tools and my altar itself as its such a lovely smelling wash. The next item is the nazar amulet that I got in this box. Now this item was a little strange to me because I have seen it a lot in fashion but never through much of it until it came in the box. The information sheet states "Across a large proportion of the world, there is the belief in the evil eye, and is very prevalent in Jewish, christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist and some pagan cultures. The evil eye is believed to be a glare cast upon someone unsuspecting in order to cause injury, illness or even death on the person inflicted. It is found within a large range of cultures and in some areas the fear of the evil eye plagues villages and entire nations who fear the effects of the evil eye on their family and babies. The nazar amulet is commonly used to help counter the energy of the evil eye. Often placed in windows or worn on the body, it is believed that the nazar amulet repels the gaze of the evil eye and the blue colour helps to bring in positivity and health". Thats a lot of information about something I have never really thought about. I will have to look into this some more because after reading the information included I am actually interested in this amulet now. I also got in this box is the witches bottle spell. I love getting spell kits because it helps me build on my spell work and also learn other aspects of spell work others do. The information sheet states "witches bottles are powerful protectors for practitioners. Working as a scapegoat, witches bottles act to direct negative energy, spell work and crossing towards them, directing the energy to the bottle rather than to you. Working as representation for you, inside a spell bottle are items that represent you, including a tag-lock from yourself as well as reflective tools to reflect the negative energy away from you. Generally witches bottles are stored either in your property or buried outside, when they break, it is believed they have done their job". I love this idea of a spell kit and I will be doing this spell in the next week because its something that I can work with. The last two items I got in this box is a black bees wax candle which smells amazing as I love the smell of bees wax. This is handy for my collection so that a great handy item and the second item is the serpentine tumble stone which is another crystal to add to my ever growing collection. The information about the crystal states " A highly protective stone, serpentine is unusual and less well known that similar protection stones. It can help offer balance and energetic protection, can help clear away negativity and allowing you to be open to positive, uplifting energies". I personally have heard of this crystal so I will be looking into this one a bit more this week. Overall this box is well worth the £19 and is such a great box. Each box changes slightly in price depending on what the lady who creates the box has in mind of theme and whats going inside. I would love to try another box of hers in the future but it depends on the theme she does and also my money that month haha. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Comments are closed.
