Merry meet everyone So today is the very last post of the 77 questions. I am hoping today's questions aren't as silly as some in the past couple of posts. I also hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about me in theses posts. 61)Do you believe in ghosts/spirits? Yes. I have actually spoken to spirits using a spirit board and have seen them in my family house, more like a ghost smoke than a form but I have also seen blankets move on their own and float in the air so yes I do believe in them. 62)Would you ever teach the craft? I feel like thats why my blog was created to help new witches find their way without the pressure of everyone else. I would love to do a class on it if it ever came up but for now I am happy with my blog. 63)What if any legal herb do you use for moods? Another strange question but I use lavender to help me relax and sooth down for sleep either in burning, in bath salts or in essential oils. 64)What is the most recent spell ritual you have done? That is easy I did a blessing for the new year to bring hope and abundance into my life. The end of last year was not a good one for my health and I was told bits I didn't want to hear so the spell was to bring me happiness and hope and also answers that I really do need. 65)Do you have a happy place you go to during meditation? I do like ti meditate in front of my altar but I mostly do it before I go to bed to be fair. 66) What is your favourite witchy book? I am a big reader so I can't answer this without listing 100s of books and we would be here all day speaking about them too. If you would like me to do my top 5 witchy books then let me know and Ill prep for that one. 67) Do you have a ritual to get ready before a ritual or spell? What is the point in wasting your energy preping to do a spell? I personally don't see any-point. i will meditate to clear my head before hand but thats about it. No need to waste energy you would need for the actual spell work! 68)Do you always use your own spells or do you tweak others? I always use spells that are helpful to me. I share a lot of spell workings on here from other spell writers that have been in books because its a good source to start yourself off with. I will always change one or two things to fit my needs but apart from that I don't mind using what I have to hand. 69)Do you prefer spells/rituals inside or outside? If I had my own garden they would be outside but at the moment inside. 70)If you are coming from a christian/catholic background. Did you find the transition hard with family and the whole going to hell thing? Personally no, because there religion was theirs and my faith was mine. My nan was very accepting of it and has really helped me a lot over the last couple of years too. I do think it helped that my mother was one herself 71)What are your totem animals? I personally don't have one. 72)What are some things you reuse after spells? Jars, crystals, depending on the spell the candle but that may not always be the case. Pins I will always reuse too. 73)Who helped you the most when you starting on your path? Which time? My mother helped me a lot when I was younger but then I lost my faith when things got bad between me and my mother. I then found it again years later and no one helped me then. I feel like I never really lost my faith I was just in so much pain that it clouded everything else. 74)What is your favourite magical study? Right now its anything to do with Celtic magic, I am really interested in learning everything about that. 75)do you have any good witchy apps on your phone? I do have a couple but I don't really use any of them. I have learned more and met more friends through instagram than I have through any app that was meant to be for that reason. 76)Outside of you-tube and Facebook community, do you have a lot of witchy friends in the physical world? I have a load of good witchy friends around the world but none near me no. I would love to have some near me but thats not in the cards. 77) Do you feel that the deities we work with are a force from one higher power and that all beliefs and religions are from the same one god/place? I believe they all come from one source but we all connect with it in our own right. I believe that our gods are more true than the one god because no one person could create the whole beauty we call our home. I believe that people like putting things in boxes to make it small and more understandable when in reality its greater and bigger than we will ever understand. That is all the questions answered finally! and I would like to thank you all who read through them all. I did plan that this would be only 2 posts but when it came to it, it was just too long. Anyway I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly xx Merry meet everyone, Today I will be sharing another useful spell that I got at christmas from a dear friend of mine. I thought this would be useful to share to you all and handy to keep aside for future reference. This blessing uses crystals because they are sacred. Although they are detached from their source, the earth itself, their connection to mother earth is quite strong. Crystals never lose their connection to the spiritual and the divine. For this blessing you need to find a crystal that calls to you. You will have to also find a quite space in your home or outside where you can bond with the crystal you have chosen. Sit quietly with your crystal, hold it in your hands, bond with your crystal. Stare at its facets, sides, top and bottom. Fully study the crystal you have in your hand. Close your eyes and allow it to speak to you. As thoughts and images form within collect into your mind, be one with them. Thank your crystal and keep it in a place where you can look at it every day. Allow yourself to build a practice of simply sitting with your crystal in your hand or in your line of sight. Let your crystal be a guide into peacefulness and reflection. I personally use a crystal that I may be able to wear with me. This is so I can always have the crystal close to me so I can continue to bond with said crystal and also so I am always connected with mother earth herself. I hope you find this blessing useful. As always you can follow me on instagram @PaganVibesOnly and connect with others alike. I am always replying back to messages from you all which I love doing very much. I hope to see you there as well as in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly Merry meet everyone, Today's post is all about the herb agrimony or also known as Tea plant. This herb has many other names that you may of heard about such as church steeples, little cocklebur, liverwort, sticklewort and stickwort. The herb is connected with the element of air. You can use this herb for: - Protection - Sleep - Banishing negative energies and spirits - Breaks hexes and returns them to the sender - Cleansing and smudging of items and areas. The herb agrimony is well known for its properties to enable a cure and to break hexes that have been casted upon yourself, this herb will also return the hex to its origin abit like karma. It is therefore a useful herb for exorcisms and cleansing spaces of negativity. It can also be added to sage for a incense to use in smudging a home of negativity. This herb has strong protective powers so its ideal for burning on the altar during spell casting, adding to protection charms and even witch bottles. I have personally used this in many witch bottles I have created for the protection of my home. You can grind the herb into a fine powder to dress candles for protection work and also you can sprinkle some of this powder in areas of your home where you feel negative energies are building. There is so much more you can do with this type of herb but I will leave that for you to find out. I hope you find this post useful and helpful and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly xx Merry meet everyone, Today's post is the second to last post of the 77 questions I have been answering the last couple of weeks. I hope you have enjoyed this style of posts and I hope you continue to like today's questions too. 41)How do you handle rejection from a fellow witch that refuses to do a reading or spell for you? This is a strange question because I haven't really asked anyone to do one for me so I personally wouldn't know but I feel everyone has the right to turn down doing spells for others. 42)Do you think it is necessary to cast a circle when you do spell work or any magical working? I personally don't I do a protection circle when working with spirits because they can become nasty but other than that no I don't personally use a circle while doing spell work. I feel thats a very wiccan thing to do and I don't believe pagan in the past did it so why should I :') 43)If steven spielberg called and wanted to make a movie of your life, who would you want to play as you? Erm why would anyone want to have a film of their lives out there and also why is this even a question :') 44) What is some advice that was given to you that you pass along because it made an impact on your path? I am not sure but I always say to anyone who is knew to the path that not to overwhelm them with information, take it slow because you could be doing it for 15 plus years and still not know everything you wish you did. Everyone learns differently too. 45)What is some advice you would give someone who has not found there deity? First off you don't need to have a deity to work with. You will find one that you connect with when your not trying to they will come to you. Other than that do you research on each one and see which you connect with the most. Don't rush into anything though. 46)Where do you buy your herbs? I get mine from trusted witches on esty and also from Freya's cauldron. I also get herbs each month from my witchy subscription box from Freya's cauldron. 47)How did you feel casting your first circle or spell? Personally I did my first spell with my mother so I felt like it was strange but also that I was part of something bigger. I seriously feel like it was part of a dream looking back and how it went down. 48)What was your first successful spell? I did a spell to help me focus on my studies in high school and that really helped me get through all the exams. At the time my home life wasn't that great either so I was suffering from all sorts of things and I just couldn't really focus on the task at hand so that spell I casted really helped me dig down and focus on what mattered that the time which was my exams and getting out of that house. 49) What is your general practice for meditation? Honestly I try to do it before I go to sleep at night because its 5 minutes I have to myself while my partner is in the shower and I can just release all the negative thoughts from my head and relax my mind ready to go to sleep and start another day refreshed and energised. 50)Are you a day walker or a night comer? I am unsure what this question is asking to be fair :') I would like to think its asking am I more a night person or a day person? Personally I love the night and the moon but also I work in the day so I spend a lot of time with the sun :') 51)How and when did you know you wanted to be on this path? Well I was introduced to this path when I was young, I had the chance to go to sunday school for my nans religion but I also was taught the pagan ways and I was just more drawn to the pagan faith and also that made me feel like I belonged so it helped me a lot growing up. 52)What type of pagan are you? (wiccan, eclectic, hedge?) I am Celtic pagan if you need to put a title to it, which I personally don't but hey ho. I wouldn't say wiccan is pagan as wiccan is a whole different faith on its own. Pagans were the first witches which lead to druids and Celtics and then wicca came in the last 1900s I believe so this question is a bit silly as well. I am a pagan by choice and I don't understand why people think wicca is pagan when it is its own thing itself. 53)What candle colour do you use the most? I use white the most but I also use coloured candles a lot so it just depends what I am using them for. Altar wise it depends what I have on hand and spell wise it depends on what is needed. 54)What area would you like to see your craft grow in? All areas, I would never say that I know everything because no one can. I would love to learn more about my Celtic traditions and also more about the magical aspect of the Celtic path. I would also love to learn runes and work more with other forms of divination. I have a list of things I want to learn this year but it just depends on how much I learn and what takes hold first. 55)What is your preference, to buy or make your tools? I would say buy just because I don't have the time or the skill to create my own tools. I would rather honour someone else shop by buying their crafted item. 56)What fictional witch book/screen inspired you the most? They all inspire me in some way shape and form but I wouldn't say any of them had a big impact of my life. I love harry potter but they doesn't effect my craft in any way shape or form. I feel a lot of books effect me more. 57)With your first spell where you alone or in a coven? I was with my mother to be honest. 58) What is your favourite candle, incense scent for magical purposes? I don't really use scents in candles and for incense it depends on my mood. I will be doing a post about my incense collection coming up and my top 5 picks I would recommend. I would say here though nag champa is always a good go to. 59)Where is your favourite place to go to reconnect with nature? That would be the pine woods which I am sure I have mentioned before. The trees just sing to me and I feel more at home there than anywhere else. 60) Do you believe in fantasy creatures? I would like to say yes, a part of me does but then again another part of me doesn't. The world we live in is such a harsh place that anything fantasy based makes us feel more sane in the world we are in. I would love to say unicorns are real but would they still be here today if they were? That is all for today peoples, I hope you enjoyed todays questions and I will see you all in the last post of theses questions next week. I hope your enjoying my posts and if you wish to get more content follow me on my instagram account @paganvibesonly for more updates ect. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, So today I will be reviewing the moon magic kit I got from my local book store. I was drawn to this because I would like to learn more about the magic of the moon and also see if I can connect with it more. I have always been drawn to the moon but I haven't really connected with it like I have with other aspects of my magical path. This kit was on sale too which really encouraged me to get it there and then instead of waiting for pay day. As always I will share the blurb with you of the book but I also am going to share the information side of the cards as well so you get a good idea of what this kit can do. Book blurb: "The moon's mystical influence on tides and water have made it a symbol of fertility, regeneration and wild, natural power for millennia. Now you can discover more about this bewitching celestial body, and its natural energy and impact in your own life! Learn how to harness the power of the moon's phases for everyday life, and follow the simple step-by-step guides to complete a range of magical projects, including planting a lunar garden and creating a lunar talisman. Explore fascinating lunar facts and legends; moon deities, angles and animal totems; and lunar astrology, numerology and calender's!" I haven't read through it yet but the quick over view I've done makes me feel like this book was well worth it. I am really looking forward to learning more from this book. Lunar oracle cards blurb: "Lunar oracle cards are a toll you can use to connect to the power of the moon. Being aware of the moons energies and how they affect your inner self will allow you to mange your thoughts and emotions and adapt your behaviours to create a personal environment that is in tune with your needs, hopes and desires. Remember that cards that may seem ominous are actually providing you wish the foreign and knowledge to channel your energies towards changing what might otherwise be a negative outcome or experience into a positive one.]Also, don't be misled by the moon sign cards: if you draw the moon in Aquarius card but the moon is currently in Sagittarius, it was still the card you were meant to choose and will be relevant to you" See the cards seems a little more in depth and harder to handle but I think after playing around with them a bit they will be easier to use too. I hope you check out this kit and with them still being on sale in the Works bookshop in the uk you may as well grab a bargain. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, So today I will be talking about the Celtic Tree Magic book by Danu Forest. Now I got this for christmas of my partner because it has been on my wish list for well over a year now. I have been interested in learning more about my Celtic roots and knowing theres so much out there surrounded by magic I wanted to get as much information and to learn as much as I can. I love the idea of the Ogham lore and the druids, with their base on magic and thats was driving me with my magical studies this year. As always I will share the blurb with you all so you get a better understanding on what this book contains and why I was drawn to it in the first place. Blurb: "A trusted and guiding hand through the Celtic forests of wisdom and magic. Explore the powerful magic of the twenty-five trees in the ogham tradition. Enrich your spiritual practice with authentic Celtic wisdom and practical techniques. Written by a druid witch and Celtic shaman, Celtic tree magic shows you how to: -Practice ogham divination, charms and spells. -Work with each tree's magical correspondences and healing attributes. -Make salves, tinctures, ointments and green crafts. -Find tree spirit allies in nature and the other-world. -Fashion wands and other magical tools. With exercises, hands-on tips and an accessible exploration of folklore and myth, this lovely and lyrical handbook provides practical skills and deeper understandings for beginners and intermediate practitioners." So not only will I be learning about the practice of ogham which is one of the languages I learned last year while working in my book of shadows, I will be learning how to use what nature gives me within my everyday life and also within my magical life. I am really looking forward to learning more about this book and the roots that my family has to the Celtic path. I hope I will learn enough to share some posts with you all in the future but for now check the book out for yourself and let me know how you find it. As always you can contact me or keep up to date with my instagram account @PaganVibesOnly for all your witchy needs and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, Today is a continued post from last weeks meet a witch. I will continue to answer the questions that other witches have answered and so you learn more about me and my craft. I hope you are enjoying theses style posts. 21)Do you have any witches in your family? Now I do but I am no longer in connect with them because they wronged my family in such a big way. If you have been a follower of my blog then you should know who I am talking about but I won't mention it here. 22)What item can you not witch without? Candles! I use candles all the time and I could live without everything apart from my candles oh and crystals. I can do magic with just a burning candle so that would be my answer for that one. 23)What is your favourite sabbat or time of year ritual? My favourite sabbat is Samhain and I have a couple good rituals for that sabbat but I will share them more nearer the time. I would also say my favourite time of the year is Autumn because not only is my birthday around then but the world is beautiful with the red and orange leaves all of the place and you can wrap up warm. Also hot chocolate is a must! 24)Have you ever had a youtube burn out? Now I don't have a youtube channel so I can't answer this question as youtube related but I can answer it as a blog burn out. So my answer to that one is yes. I have had times in the past where I feel like I was wasting my time and not really helping or impacting anyone with my blog. I also felt that I wasn't producing posts that I really wanted to create. So I had a break from it and got back to where I wanted to be. Its why I have breaks for a couple of weeks through out the year. It helps me sit back and think where I want to take my blog and also for my mind to have a rest haha. 25)What is your favourite witchy shop, and do they have an online store? Now this is hard to answer because I have two that I can get to on a train that are always my go to shops for all things witchy but I also have a good couple online that I would happily recommend to anyone. First is for planner supplies and sticker bits for your book of shadows I would say CraftyPlanning on etsy is amazing, She basically works her butt off to produce amazing stickers and its the only shop for my witchy planner needs that I will go back to over and over again. For my witchy bit items I would say Freya's Cauldron who I get my subscription box from. They are also a small business but they have such beautiful items and I am seriously saving up money for some of their products. The two local witchy shops that I will happily go on a train for an hour to go see is the magic willow in Liverpool and the Olive Tree. They are both amazing shops and the women who work there are really helpful and always brighten your day up with something. 26)When buying witchy items, do they choose you or do you choose them? It depends on the item. If its candles and incense I choose them a lot of the time. If its items for my magical workings like divination items it depends on the item and also depends if I can buy it when they want me to haha. I had this weird shopping memory where this pendulum made me buy it, and I had to borrow money of my partner because it wouldn't let me leave without me buying it. I thought it was really weird, I felt like I was leaving a part of my behind when I tried to live without it. 27)How do you organise your herbs/ingredients? Now organise is such a strong word :') I have all my herbs in jars or trying to. I have 58 herbs in my collection so trying to store them all in a happy organised way is very hard. I have the same problem with my crystals which is why I laughed when I read this question. Now I am making it my year to be organised so am looking for ideas on how to organised my items if you have any comment bellow or message me on instagram @paganvibesonly :D 28)Do you have interest in other deities that you don't work with; if so, which ones? Not really, but I can't say I will never work with any other deities because I don't see into the future so I can't really answer that. 29)Do you have a favourite time of day to do spell work; if so why? I don't really it all depends when I can do it and when my flat is free from people that can interrupt me. I find that I normally do it in the morning as my partner is always in work then so mornings is always a good time for me personally but other wise no I dont. 30)Are you solitary or do you work with a coven? I am solitary but I don't mind working on my own because I know what I can and can not do. Also I don't believe there is any covens near me for me to be able to be in one. I would love to be part of one just to meet other like minded people but its not in the cards for me. 31) If you could pick a certain witchcraft tradition that fits your practice most what would it be? I would like to say Celtic or Druid are more my practice just because they are both nature based traditions and I feel a strong connection to them both. I have made it my goal this year to learn more about Celtic magic and their tradition so hopefully I was understand more about it all and understand why I am so drawn to it. 32)What was the most creative spell you have ever done. What did you use? I created a spell to help me be more motivated to tidy my home. I can't remember what I used to do it apart from it was in a tea and it worked really well but the aftermath of it all I wouldn't use it again :') 33)What are some ways you keep yourself grounded? Thats easy I stay bare foot while inside my house so I can feel the earth, I meditate as well to help me connect with the powers of be and also to balance myself out when I need it. I also spend time with nature either walking to work or sitting in the garden just so I can feel mother earth surround me. 34)Have you ever had a spell go horrible wrong? Not that I have noticed but I don't really do spells that aren't needed and when I do plan on doing them I make sure that nothing can go wrong about them. I always find that its people who jump into spell work without knowing what they want that makes things go wrong. 35)What do you prefer for divination? I prefer my cards because I can ask them a simple question and they will answer me. I normally read into them a little too much but they have never done me wrong. I also use a pendulum but I don't use them as often. I was gifted a deck of tarot cards when I was 8 years old so I believe thats why I am so connected with them and why they are my go to for everything but I am looking into other ways of divination and seeing if anything else speaks to me too. 36)What are your options on initiation rituals? I personally don't feel the need for them, they are important to some traditions but not for me personally. You can do your own stating you are a witch so you feel more connected but its not necessary and its all down to what belief you are following too. 37) Have you ever had full contact with your deity; if so what happened? I wouldn't say I have or haven't to be honest because we live with mother earth. I would love to be able to have a full conversation with her to be honest but I don't see that happening any time soon. 38) What about you is not witchy? Erm im not sure to be honest. I would say some creatures really ick me out like spiders HATE them and I know were meant to love all creatures on this earth but I just can't find it in myself to love spiders. I also don't have much of a garden as I live in flats which means I don't get to plant my own stuff which hurts. 39)For the dating witch, how do you fell a new love interest that you are a witch? I personally have been in a relationship for 10 years so I can't say for sure how you would go about it. I know my partner knew I was weird before we started going out because we were really good friends before hand. I never hide that I am a witch though. Its who I am and if anyone is not happy with it then its their problem not mine. 40) Who is a past witch that has inspired you famous or not? I haven't really gotten anyone thats inspired me witchy wise. I may have to look into it a bit before I can answer this question more honestly. Thats it for today's post and this weeks questions. I will do the last of the questions next week in another post for you all. I do hope you have enjoying theses posts and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is another great box from Freya's Cauldron. I love getting theses boxes because not only does it help build my collection on all my magical stock but also because they are always including some amazing information. Some information will have already been known as they cover from beginners to well known practitioners so this box is perfect for anyone in the magical field. As always I will go through the information sheets first: - Introduction sheet to the box: You get one of theses in each box that introduces the theme for that month if any and also what this month will include. I have kept every one of theses sheets for future reference in a fold of mine. -A A4 sheet all about this months crystal and the uses you can do with this said crystal. - A A4 double sided sheet all about the following sabbat Ostara, which this months box is all about. This will have loads of amazing ideas and information about the following sabbat and its handy to keep for future reference. I include this in my folder with all my information I get in theses boxes. - A A4 side of information all about this months herb. This is really handy if you don't know the uses or the herb that has been included, and again this is handy information to have to hand anyway. - A A4 side with a small ritual that they have included so we can add it to our book of shadows. I love getting spell work because it helps me build upon my own knowledge but also to see what they do different to me. I will know go through everything that I have gotten in this months box and my thoughts about each item. I will also give you some information about each item like they do in the information sheet just to give you some idea what the item does too. First of all the first item I got out this months box was the anointing oil. This months oil is a turmeric candle dressing oil which can be very useful for many different areas of spell work. I personally don't have this one yet so I am over the moon to get another one to add to my collection. I believe this box has helped me build my anointing oils more than any other box and have given me more uses to use them too. The little information I have about this oil is follows: "This can be used in the emotional, spirtual or phsyical sense and is a ideal oil to add to your charm bag if you are looking to heal a friendship for example. It is also used to gain inner strength confidence and the ability to spread joy to others". I will be looking into this oil more because I would love to do a post about the different anointing oils I have in my collection. As always the next item I got was the beautiful spell candles. Now I have got such a great collection of theses spell candles now that I am running out of spaces for theses. So if you have any idea on how to store my candles let me know through comments bellow or even message me on instagram @PaganVibesOnly where I love hearing from you all. This months colours are all connected with Ostara which is handy to have if you didn't have any in your collection anyway. The colours are as followed: Black, Purple, Lilac and white. Each colour has its own uses depending on what you personally connect a colour for, such as black for me is for banishing spell work but may be for you something different. I would have a look into what you would connect to each colour. The next item was the herb pots. Now this month I had only gotten one herb to add to my collection which I have already got but was running out so I am over the moon to get the herb hyssop in this months box. I also got two herb blends with this months box one is a special exclusive blend for love and friendship that has been added to this months box for subscribers and the next herb blend is for the ostara celebrations and can be used in anyway you see fit. This months crystal is a black onyx tumble stone, I dont have a onyx in my collection so I was over the moon for this months crystal. I love building my collection and I love finding out new crystals that I may have not even thought about. I will be doing some more research into this crystal when I get time this week to see what uses it has. I also got a march hare necklace in this months box which I can't wear. Because I am sensitive to nickle I am very limited to what I can and can not wear and this is one of those items. I will add it to the collection that I have from this box that I can't wear because I want to use the charms for something I just don't know what yet. If you have any ideas for them send them my way please :D This months spell kit is a friendship charm bag to create yourself. I love this idea because I love sewing. I will have to put some time aside and do this when I have my flat to myself. I like the spell kits you get in theses boxes because its always something you wouldn't think of but know you would use. I also got this strange geode kit in this months box, its strange because you have to break it with a hammer to get the beautiful geode thats in the middle to show. I don't actually know where my little hammer is so I have put this aside until I can find it hahaha. I will upload a picture of my geode on my instagram when I do finally get to break it. Its a strange item but something that I personally wouldn't of through of which is why I love the idea even more. The last item and in my mind the best is always the sabbat plaque. I believe I may have the whole collection of the sabbat plaques now which is amazing and I love theses because they just complete the sabbat altar that I always do. There handmade and beautifully designed, well worth the box itself. I am quite excited to see what they will be doing for the sabbats now they have completed the set. Overall this months box has been amazing and well worth the wait as always. I am really happy with what I got in this months box apart from the fact I can't use all of it but then again thats just because I am a pain in the bum haha. I hope you check out the box for yourself and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, Hope you are all well, today's post is another over view review on The book of Celtic Magic. I got this for christmas of my boyfriend and Its been sat on a pile of books waiting for me to read it. This book has been on my wish list for awhile and I was over the moon when I got this for christmas. This year my goal is to learn more about my Celtic roots and focus a lot more on the Celtic magic side because I am drawn to that aspect of magic and also with my roots being from the Celtic side and I have family who were Celtic while they still walked the earth I feel like I am honouring them while doing so. So as always I will share the blurb with you all so you get a feel about what this book contains and if you wish to grab it yourself. The blurb: "Practical magic born from the cauldron of the Celts. Delve into the depths of a magical current that spans over two thousand years. The book of Celtic magic provides the unsurpassed power of practical magic and the transformative forces of ancient Celtica. Druid priest Kristoffer Hughes invites you to explore the pantheon, myths and magic of his native wales. Discover the magical allies, the gods and goddesses, and the spirits of place that form the foundation of this vibrant tradition. Practice rituals that draw you closer to the divine energy of the trees, plants and animals that surround you. Work with spells, conjurations, invocations, and magical tools that have been developed and refined from genuine Celtic sources. Complete with exercises and a glossary of terms, this step by step guide is a definitive source of authentic Celtic magic." So this book is based on the Walsh Celtic magic, which isn't where my family is from I have family roots in Ireland but its a good starting point knowing wales is closer to me than Ireland so hey ho. I am really looking forward to reading this book either way, it looks amazing inside and from the first couple of pages I have read it is such an easy book to read too. I would like to ask if you know of any great Celtic magic books out there that you have read let me know either in the comments bellow or through message on instagram. You should all know by now that I have a blog account on Instagram called @PaganVibesOnly. Follow me there to keep up to date with all things witchy and also to speak to me I find that is a better way to connect with you all than through the comments on here. As always I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will see you all in the next blog post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly :) x Merry meet everyone, So today I am going to be answering 77 questions that many witches have answered in the past. This post may be split into a couple of posts so its not as long as I feel it may be. You may answer these questions yourself and see how much you have learned within your year. 1)Do you use runes as a written language? I personally don't I am slowly getting into runes but I don't think I will be writing them as a language any time soon. I think witches who do this are very clever and most likely have been doing this for many years to understand what they have written. I personally would love to learn more about runes and thats on my list for this year to really get into. 2)Do you feel you have natural gifts, and if so do you think this is what led you to this path? Personally again I was brought up as a pagan so I did choose my path because I was drawn to it more that any other religion or craft but I always felt that I was connected to something bigger. I would say that I am a empath by nature, I always know when closed friends or family are upset and it works really well with my daily job as well. But I didn't realise I had this gift until the last couple of years because a friend of mine told me I was being drained emotionally by people and she explained that it was because I couldn't split my emotions from others and that made my mood swings hard. My partner is a saint for dealing with me haha. 3)What deity do you work with if any and why? I work with mother earth and I know she has many different deity names but I class them all as one. I am very connected with nature and I feel off balance when I am stuck inside for many days. I honour mother earth daily with my daily routine and how I personally live my life. I am just drawn to working with her. I did work with the goddess Isis growing up, I was drawn to her back then but not so much now. I feel like I have grown as a witch and as a person, which is why I connect more with mother earth than anyone else now. 4)Have you always worked with this same deity? No, like I stated before I worked with Isis the egyptian goddess but I always felt that she was more drawn to me than I was to her. I feel a better connection to mother earth than I did with the goddess Isis just because I have matured and Isis the goddess stands for things I don't really connect with anymore. 5)Do you use any personal items in your practice? This is a strange topic to be honest because personal items classes as blood, semen, tears ect and I personally don't or haven't needed to in the past. I have used spit in a witches bottle but apart from that none of those listed above. I always find that blood magic is very powerful and unless you know what you are doing and are 100% focused on that task it can go wrong and I just wont touch that as of yet. Bear in mind I have been a pagan for over 15 years and even then I still wouldn't class myself in that stage to be able to use blood magic. I feel the same with other personal items. Its all down the personal craft and I haven't needed to use them as such. I won't say I will never use them but I can tell you that the craft I do doesn't need them. 6)Do you do past life readings or have ever had one done; who where you or how did you die? I am really interested in doing this but no I haven't done one yet. I would feel like I was born in the Victorian times because I am always drawn to that part of history when I read about bits and bobs from the past. I have this image of me in one of those big frocks that they wore and the corset where I most likely have gotten the fear of being in small spaces because you couldn't breath in those things. I would love to see if any of this is true, so if any of you know anyone thats good at doing past reading send them my way please. 7)What is your favourite magical tool? Now this is hard because I have all the tools but I don't really use them all in the aspect they should be used. I love my tarot cards and I love my pendulums. I would like to say my favourite magical tool is my cauldron because I am always using that either with a candle inside as part of my altar or to mix items inside or burn incense. Candles is another one I love using. I wouldn't call it a magical tool as such but its always a good go to for me. 8) What is a song or type of music that gets you into a witchy moon? Now this is easy, anything played by within temptation brings me into a witchy mood and also when I do blog posts I listen to them because they help me focus. I also love listening to Celtic music, I just type it in on youtube and so much comes up. 9)Where is the most magical place you have ever been? Thats hard because I feel anywhere with nature is magical. I love the pine woods that are near my home because they are beautiful and I can imagine fairies hiding in the trees ect. I have been to many beautiful places that I could so happily settle down and live there. I would say the most magical place for me though is the pine woods because the trees sing to you while you walk through them and the nature that surrounds that area is just so beautiful. 10)What animal is your familiar if you have any? I have a cute tabby cat called harry as my familiar. 11) If you have a familiar, did you choose them or did they choose you? Now this is a hard question because people see familiars in a different way. I personally see them as a animal you connect with on a spirital level, where others see them as spirits you work with. So I will answer it as I see the answer but that may be different to how you see it. I personally believe we found each other. My harry was a feral kitten and my boyfriend's mum rescued him and was looking for a forever home for him and I was just at their house one night and bare in mind that harry wouldn't come out for anyone, came out for me. He sat on my lap and I connected with him in that second. I adopted him and hes now with me with all my magical workings and when I am working on my blog hes actually sat on the window ledge now watching over me. So I personally believe he is my familiar and I will stick to that belief. 12)What in the craft are you best at? (tarot, spells, ritual ect) Thats a hard question to answer because I am well rounded on my talent in each aspect. I believe there are more spells that I wont be at the level to do or even feel I could do them yet, I feel that way with other aspects too. I am really good with tarot card but if I am reading them for myself then I feel like I read into it a bit more than I should. With spell work it depends on the spell that I am doing and same with the ritual work. So honestly I can't really answer this question the way you wish me to. 13) What in the craft would you say you are weaker at? Thats easy runes! I am looking into other aspects of tools ect and runes is one that I really get stuck on. I believe it will take me awhile to get use to working with them and even then I feel if I should work with them I should have some connection to them which at this moment I dont. But then again that could just be me being stubborn. 14)What is your most favourite part of your craft? (spell writing, divination ect) I would love to focus more on spell writing this year. I touched a bit of it last year but this year I want to focus on it a bit more. I love working in my book of shadows because even when I have no energy to do the craft side, I can light a candle and work in my book of shadows for hours on end. Divination is another big aspect of my craft. I love working with my cards and my pendulums but I would honestly say working in my book of shadows is my favourite thing to do. 15) What was the first tool you ever purchased? Oh this is easy a green jade Pendulum and a book of shadows. The first tool I was gifted was when I was 8 years old and my mother gifted me a deck of tarot cards to learn with. That candles where such a big thing for me. I think crystals was another one that I may have started collected when I was young but I can't really remember and I have a load of crystals. 16)What was your first handmade tool for your practice? Oh this is a hard question because I haven't personally made any of my own tools but I have brought handmade items from small shops that create theses beautiful items. I would probably say altar decorations was my first handmade item I had brought. I don't really have any handmade tools as of year that I can think of though. 17) What are your feelings on raising kids in the craft? Personally I would love to raise my children when I have some in the craft but my partner has not got the same faith in fact he has no faith. So I think my children will have the option to choose. They can join in when needed and I would love to celebrate the sabbats with them but until I have my own children I can't answer this honestly. 18)If you were a goddess or god, who would you be? Mother earth. She is such a motherly figure and she cares about everyone no matter how hurt she gets. She has this great power to birth life into the world and shes so graceful in what she does. I would love to say I would be her if I was one. 19)Do you use astrology in your practice? In what ways? I am into astrology and I am learning more each time I go back to it but no I don't use it within my craft yet! My Nan is such a big person on astrology that I normally ask her questions instead of doing the research myself. I need to learn more on this topic because theres so much information to be learned. 20)What if any ways could you practice dark magic and still respect the beliefs of wicca? Now I am not wiccan so I don't really care about the beliefs of wicca but that being said I wouldn't class magic as dark or light. Its all down to intention and what you plan to do with it. I personally would never cause harm on others but how can you say that if you cast a money spell that it wont effect someone else? You need to be mindful but at the same time stay true to yourself. I am going to leave today's post here and I will answer more questions in the next post. I didn't want to over load you with the 77 questions so I am planning on doing at least 20 questions in each post until then end so you don't get overloaded. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x |
