Merry meet everyone, So last weekend I went to the local flower show which I do every year. I always go with my family because its a great day out and I have been doing it since I was younger. So anyway I thought I would talk about the day and what I liked and disliked and also the best item I brought there which OMG I love billions. Anyway I went there early with my family while the weather was chilled and the sun wasn't really out. It was nice and cloudy and really the perfect temp for the day. We made our first round around the event and I spotted a couple of things I would like to buy and also photograph. As I was there to photograph the floral which I do every year also. The weather started to get warmer to a bit it was getting really irritated with the amount of people bumping into me while I was photographing my subject matter. It didn't help that most of these floral subjects were inside tents. I was happy when I brought my little terrarium. It looks after it self so hopefully it will be happy living in my flat as most plants hate it. The image added to this post is a top view of my terrarium. Overall the flower show wasnt as good as it was the last couple of years, there weren't many flower/brush sellers as there has been and that may be because of the weather this year or it may be they arent coming to the flower show anymore. I think if the day stayed cool it would of been more bearable because the amount of people there was just stupid. It didn't help that because it was so hot one of my family members fainted and did some damage to their face. It wasn't the best way to end the day. I think if we are going next year we may go on a quiter day so theres not many people there and also we get a better look around. Overall it was an ok day but the best bit was buying my terrarium haha. Hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you in the next one x Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So as you all know I always try to go to Liverpool once a month because is my local city and it has all the best witchy shops. This time I went to sort some banking stuff because they had a local branch which we don't in my area. I also decided to stock up on my crystals because I can never have too many crystals and at the moment I am really into my raw crystals. I find they look amazing and beautiful on my altar instead of the tumble stones that I have. Even though I do love all crystals I can't have my tumble stones on show on my altar because my cats find that they have more fun knocking them over haha. Anyway I thought I would show you the crystals I brought and also the amazing new smudge bowl I brought so I can have my smudge sticks on the go. This post will be quite short but also fabulous. I think my favourite item I brought is the rainbow looking crystal with is quartz and titanium. I find this will look amazing on my altar and with it so beautiful and rainbow like it will bring joy and happiness when looked upon. For the smudge bowl I still need to get some sand so I haven't used it yet but I really am looking forward to using it. The rest of the stones are ones I didn't have or ones that caught my eye as raw forms. I hope you have a great month of shopping and I will see you next week with hopefully another haul from the flower show. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So last weekend was quite eventful, it was my first Saturday off in ages and most likely my last for a while too. A friend of ours came up to spend time with us last weekend which was fun. We all basically spent time with each other even though nothing was planned we were all over the place. I basically travelled all over our town with my mates haha. In the end we all decided to go go-karting which I am not into so I sat on the edge of the track and watched which I didn't mind as I was playing with my camera settings on my phone and I actually got some good film clips. Because I was in work on Sunday we all left each other early which was fine as I wasn't the only one who was in work. But over all Saturday was a good day, I spent it with mates instead of being in work whats not to love? I love spending time outside within nature. As you will most likely know of me by now. I am a nature photographer so seeing the beauty within nature is my key skill haha. I just love being surrounded by mother nature as I am connected to her. She is the one I work with the most and for me being surrounded by nature is like a second home. I feel safe and energised because of it. I also don't mind sitting in the sun as long as I dont get a migraine which I do most of the time. I still need to find a good way to sooth my migraines without using meditation because after a while they will stop working but thats my problem for another day. As you may all know the uk is having a heat wave. TOOO HOOOOT! I prefer winter and autumn than summer because the heat kills. Seriously I don't like being hot, I would rather be cold at lest then you can wrap up warm instead in the summer theres only so much you can take off without being called a nudest. I have also been walking a lot the past two weeks. I want to lose some weight and also to be more with nature. It also saves me money on travelling to and from work. At the moment I have been trying to walk one way each day and then either bus home or taxi depending on what I did that day. I want to be more healthy and also I need to look after myself more. To make the walk fun I have started to play Pokemon go again. Now I never really stopped playing the game but I never activity played it either. With all the updates they have made to the game I have really enjoyed playing it again. The last two weeks I have played it loads either walking to work or just around the town centre. Its a great way to get me out of the house and also make me walk to areas I wouldn't walk before. I find catching the Pokemon fun it brings back my childhood and with the new updates of missions and tasks and even being able to have friends now it just makes it more fun. After all if its making me go out on walks more often then thats a great game haha. Overall the past couple of days I have been really busy within my own life and I have enjoyed a lot of it. I don't mind going on long walks anymore and I actually drag my mates out now haha. I walk to work on days thats not going to melt my face off and I feel more healthier as well in the progress. I am really happy at the moment and thats all that matters. I hope you enjoyed today's random post and I will see you in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So the weekend just gone was a good weekend over all. I was off work Saturday so I got to spend my day off with some mates of mine. I spent that morning having a shower and relaxing. It was good knowing I didn't need to go into work that day. I love having my little lazy mornings in a way it gives me some times to recharge and de-stress. The afternoon my mates came and we chilled and caught up on life. Its been a while that we could spent a day together because of work and life in general. We went to the local pub where we had a meal and laughed and joked. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with my mates because its been so long and i missed them. The meal was fab and the image I have added to this post is the pudding my boyfriend had. Doesn't it look yummy! haha That afternoon we spent at mine playing games. We played janga which was funny because of the faces everyone was pulling trying to win and not knock the tower down. We then played empire monopoly which was strange. I like the old one better but it was fun. Its strange how much I miss playing board games. I think we need to do it more often. Just chilling with mates playing board games whats not to love. The weather is getting warmer so we could have a cold drink and play games while enjoying the sun or even just spending one night every couple of weeks chilling and playing games. Everyone loves console games and pc games but what about board games the sort of games we were all brought up playing with family on thoses very rare nights we all sat down and got along. Board games are amazing and it just reminded me how much I love them. Sunday I was in work. I love work but sunday just dragged on. It was slow and because there was an event in our town we were quite. It annoys me how quite work can get. I spent most of the day making jobs for me and my work friend to do. We spent most of the day cleaning and when customers where there they were our attention. It was funny thinking about it today but yesterday drove me mad. I am going to include today because I wasn't in work today but am all week. So today has been a strange day people. I spent the morning waiting for a parcel for a neighbour and looking at laptops. Now I decided I was going to save up morning to buy myself a laptop one that I could do my blog on while not sitting at my pc desk. Because its getting to a point where I want to spend time away from my pc. I want to sit in the front room and relax but still want to blog or work on ideas for my blog. I want to sit in the sun and write about how that feels but I can't because I have to sit inside to blog. So my morning was me looking into laptops ones that did what I needed but not too over powered or priced. My nan came to mine this morning and saw that I was looking into laptops. She asked me why and I explained I wanted to be able to work on my blog on the go and be able to take it to work with me on the days I open up because then on my lunch I have something to do. She said she could buy me my laptop as an early birthday present. I was like my birthdays not until September :') Long story short she helped me out and got me the laptop I wanted. Its a 2 in 1 laptop so I have the best of both worlds and Its just perfect for what I need it for. I am actually doing this post on the laptop now while I home sit for a family member. I am slowly getting used to this keyboard but apart from that its amazing. I just need to get a laptop case for it so I can take it to work with me. :) Best weekend by far that I have had in a while so I am happy. I do hope you all had a lovely weekend too. Blessed be x MissDoomie xx Hey all,
So today was a day off from the norm. I decided yesterday with my nan that we should go down to our local city and shop til we dropped. Most likely looking through windows til we drop. Anyway I had to go to the local haunts where I normally go when I am in Liverpool city. That is the hippy shop on bold street which is amazing and all their fair-trade stuff is beautiful. I went there looking for a pretty fabric cover like cloth that I could hang up behind my altar but unfortunately I didn't find one that I liked or what I wanted in the first place. I did say I was a perfectionist when it comes to my altar. The next stop on my route around fabulous shops was the magic willow in the central place. Its where all funky and strange shops were located but now the owner is pushing everyone out and the only couple shops left in there. Lucky for me magic willow is still there for the time being as shes the local witch shop. For me anyway. I brought some crystals and other bits from her because I needed to build my collection and some where for my spell work. While I was there I bumped into a really nice man, bit older than me but was on the same path as me. He was really knowledgeable about things and it just blow my mind. He told me that there was another shop like this down the road called the olive tree. So we went to this shop was 5 minute walk from where we were in magic willow. This shop just wow. They had drapes of hippy clothes over the walls. Bookshelves everywhere full of books you wouldn't even imagine. Candles handing up and incense all over the place. It was heaven. I brought some candles ect from this shop because they were just the ones i needed and omg I will be dreaming about this shop. It was just beautiful. I was so made up when I found it. Thank you kind stranger who I bumped into in magic willow you made my day. Overall I had a great day out in Liverpool with my nan and brought what I needed or went out for. There are still some things I want or need that I am looking into but that will have to come in the future. For now I will leave you all happy and inspired to look around your hometowns and cities because you just don't know what amazing shops are around the corner. I will do a shopping haul when I get a chance and hopefully there will be the march pagan parcel box coming this week to you all. I am keeping an eye out on Mr postman to make sure he brings it too me haha. Until next time xx MissDoomie xx Hey all, The past weekend was eventful, no really it was full of events. My local council do a firework display every year and I love just going and spending time with my friends and taking pictures of the display. Now I have been doing this on and off for the last couple of years but plans never go the way you want them to. NEVER! Now me and my partner invited our close friends to join us on saturday to go watch the show, but we werent paying to get in but to watch the fireworks from outside the event. This was because the tickets were £9 each and we couldnt afford such prices just to stand inside and watch fireworks so we thought HA we will stand outside and watch them for free. Great plan but where do we stand? Now in the end we found a really good place to stand/ sit and chill with our friends while watching the fireworks. But this wasnt without the problems of getting to said place and also making sure we didnt get wet because mother earth thought HA I will rain on theses silly peoples. But over all it was a great night full of firework wonder and I was in a great place to photograph the fireworks and got some great images. After the event we all went back to my place and chilled for an hour doing some funny games where you take a shot if you laugh at the dont laugh videos. One of my friends just laughed more he drank which made us all laugh. It was a fab night full of great friends and amazing memories. Oh and if you plan on doing what we did make sure you plan for everything not just what the weatherman may or may not of told you haha. Hope you all enjoyed your weekends <3 MissDoomie Now for many people going to another place you havent been before may or may not be the worse nightmare on the world. Well its worse for me. I panic even when I dont need to, I worry myself sick until the whole event if over and even then I can't sleep up to or after the event for up to three nights before and after. Its a horrid thing to be inside my head seriously I worry about everything and anything. Now for my work I had to go to blackburn to cover a store there as they had no manager to open and close the store. Me only just passing my shit and just being a baby at all things opening and closing shop on my bill was then told 'HEY you have to go cover a shop in a place you dont know for a whole day and you have to get the train there and back'. It didnt go on those lands but you got the feel of what was asked of me. Now I dont mind going to cover other stores local to me but this place was an hour and half away from my hometown and even then I had to get two trains to get there. Waking up at 5 in the morning to get ready and getting the train and 7.20am. Then making sure you dont miss your second train or your stop to be more frank. And then trying not to get lost going to said store. Then its the routine of getting the store open and working out how this store does things. Its amazing that I got there and did this. It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be but I still didnt like it. I worried myself too much to enjoy it as much as I would. The sales assistants where amazing that day and helped me out alot with the store and where they kept most things and the day it self went really well. My worse nightmare was the fact that my FIRST train was late which meant I only had minutes to run to the right platform to get my second train. Lets just say I ran like no other to that train and got there when it was just pulling in. I died on that train home. My boyfriend thought it was funny as hell, my nan worried until I called her saying im home and safe and then that night I died. I went to the couch in the front room and ignored everything and anyone that needed me and became a zombie for the rest of that night. Future me: Make sure you take energy drinks with you and prep more. Also make a better pack lunch that one sucked, :') MissDoomie This week has been quite fun, but also busy. On Thursday me and my mates went to Huddersfield for a day trip. They wanted to go to an air-soft shop and I just wanted a day out. As a photographer I really enjoyed the landscapes that lead up to Huddersfield. I really want to go back with my nikon and take more pictures of the town and the landscapes that surround it. It was such a beautiful day as well, It just made the day trip that little bit better. My mates and I have planned to do more day trips out this summer as it was a nice day out away from our boring town haha. It also makes me look forward to this summer as it means I get to see more than the little town I live in. My aim this summer is to live life to the fullest. I am still aiming to get a job but I would love to travel and do day trips around the uk. Living in a small town my whole life makes me want to go out and see more of the world. There isn't much in my town to do so it does make it worth while if you can get out of it haha. I hope you enjoyed my little rant/ day trip and the images I captured. I did take more but these were the best ones I took with my phone. :) Until next time... MissDoomie :) |
