Merry meet everyone, Today's post is all about the witches heart mystery box. This box was late as I had to wait for it to be redelivered as I missed the first attempt. This box was all about the mabon sabbat, which sucked that it was late getting to me because mabon was the 21st which was the Saturday just gone. Anyway lets get into the box. The first item I took out of the box was the mabon rolled candle. Now this is such a beautiful candle and its beeswax which makes it even better. The information I got about this candle is "Beeswax is considered to be one of the most potent of all candle waxes within magic, considered to be the easiest wax to work with for magical practice. It is fantastic for ritual workings. Each of our herbal mabon candles is hand rolled to be used on or around the harvest festival. Each candle is then pressed with mabon association herbs to help further connect with the energy of mabon. Beeswax candles are also ideal for outdoor festivities. They are safe to burn outside and the remains can be buried without worrying about harming the environment". As you can see from the image above the candle is beautiful and smells like roses and wax haha. The second item I got out the box was the crystal which was a lapis stone. I just love lapis is such a great crystal to work with and this will be a happy addition to my collection. In the box the information about this crystal includes " Lapis lazuli is a wonderful crystal for communication, the throat chakra, as well as good fortune, prosperity. It helps to promote positive change. Clearing out the old and opening you up to better things for the future". The next item I got out of the box was the mabon loose incense, now this smells heavenly and I am looking forward to using this next time I get a spare moment. The information about this is "Our loose incenses are not self lighting. They do not include charcoal and because of that, they can be used in several ways. The most traditional methods is to burn in a heat proof container on a charcoal disk". The next item I got out of the box is the mabon oil now this is such a beautiful smelling oil. I just love theses oils they are amazing. the information about this one is "Mabon is a wonderful holiday for prosperity, abundance and preparing for winter. The mabon oil is this box is designed to connect with theses energies and to honour and celebrate mabon. Dress candles with the oil, use on the skin, add into bathwater, to add the energy of mabon into your life". The next item is a two part, I got some amazing beeswax tealights which has citrine crystals inside which is beautiful. This goes along with the pentacle holder that I got which is now on my altar all pretty. The last item is a print of the wheel of the year which is beautiful. I am so putting this in my book of shadows or even on my altar. I really love this months box and I have already brought next months box which looks like its going to be a good one. I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is a little shorter than most because I wanted to share with you all my home made soothing love bath salts mix. Now I personally don't have a bath but a shower so if you wanted to use this get yourself a fabric bag that you can have over your shower head but it would let out all the goodness and the water through. Thats a great tip to use cleansing bath salts with a shower too. I make bath salts a lot for my brother because he is always needing some sort of relaxing way after the day of work he normally has. This one was an experiment of sorts because he wanted me to use lavender still because it helps relax his mussels ect, but he wanted something a little different. I had just brought some rose petals for another project that I had in the works but thought it was a great addition to this bath salt mix to help him relax and feel the love. I first used my mortar and pastel to grind the lavender down. I did this because the last couple of bath salts I have made my brother has just been mixtures and the herbs stay and cover the bath which drives my nan crazy as she has to clean the bath after my brother uses it. So I thought if I grind the herbs down it will still have the best effect but also will go down the drain without blocking ect. So far this method has worked really well and has gone down with a treat too. I then grind the rose petals. This doesn't really do much but it helps to break up the bigger petals and when I add both herbs together it will mix a little better. I then add both herbs and the salts into the mortar and pastel and mix them all together. This makes the scent of the herbs to mix with the salts and blends them perfectly for use straight away. The salts I use can change depending on what I have in my kit at the time. I use Epson salts, Himalayan salts and salt mixtures which I buy in bulk just because I make bath salt blends a lot for my brother. I hope you try this blend and it works wonders for you as it does for my brother. Please let me know in the comments bellow if you have tried this blend and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie Merry meet everyone, Today's spell is very special to me because it was the first spell I ever did on my own. When I was younger my mother gave me a book called 'spells for teenage witches' by Marina Baker. Bear in mind she gave me this book when I was about 8-9 years old. This book was the first witchcraft book that I ever owned. So the first spell in this was a self-initiation spell to find your path. Now that I look back its more of a spell to help find the magic in the world and to help you to connect with the energies. This spell is very much a visualisation spell. Where you focus on your breathing and visualise the elements and magic all around you. This spell is for the beginners out there that want to join the path but not sure where to start. You will need: - an oil burner, some water to put in the oil burner and 3 drops of essential lavender oil. Not fragrance. Sit crossed legged, hands resting on your knees and palms facing upwards towards the skies. Close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Breathe in deeply through your nose, then out from your mouth. Do this until your completely relaxed and your mind is clear from all thoughts apart from your breathing. So your completely in the moment. This can take a couple of minutes to settle your mind. Dont worry if it takes any longer as everyone is different. Now imagine yourself alone somewhere beautiful. Somewhere you feel drawn to, where you feel you have felt real magic. Somewhere your breath has lost you and all thoughts of this place gives you a happy feeling in your centre. Once you are there ask yourself theses questions: -What is the weather like? -Can you feel a breeze? - Is the sun out or the moon? - Can you feel the heat of the sun on your face? - What do you smell? -What can you hear? Contemplate the nature of the elements and how the fire, earth, water and air all play key parts in the environment that now surrounds you in this place. In your own time, return to the oil burner. Consider how each element is represented and how they work together for complete balance. Keep breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. When you truly understand, you may lift your arms, palms facing upwards and say: 'I acknowlegde the presence of the spirit, I am its servant and its keeper. I may use its power to do my will, so long as none is harmed and it be the spirits will." Spend some time in this moment. Connect with all surroundings and feel the energy building up around you. You have now connected with the spirit and have opened all eyes to the magical world that surrounds us. Welcome to your new path. I hope you find this spell useful and it helps you connect with the path more easily. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone,
Today's post is another planner addiction haul haha. This is just two orders from two different stores. I have got other orders coming which I will share with you all in the future once they have came. The first order is another order from craftyplanning on etsy. Her shop is amazing and jam packed with amazing kits and sets for your planner. My planner is going to look amazing once all my stickers come. I got the hobonichi kits because they are the perfect size stickers for my Filofax planner and works really well within the layout I use. The three kits I brought of hers were the watercolour witchcraft kit with dots, the fruity florals with dots and the galaxy kit with dots. I also brought myself a oops bag of hers which comes with 10 large sheets of stickers that she wouldn't sell full price because they either came out the wrong colour, printed wrong or was cut out wrong. I always find theses bags really useful and well worth the money. I also got a load of samples from her store and from other stores as a thank you for shopping with her within that sale. Its well worth it and with the 30% off her store you couldn't go wrong. This sale was back in august so the offer isn't there anymore. The second order was from the store called legallyplanning. She is also on etsy and has a load of amazing stickers. She also does foiled stickers which is why I brought from her store. I wanted to grab a couple cute foiled stickers that I could use in my set ups. In this order I brought a Halloween hobonichi monthly kit, A wicked delight mini kit and an autumn leaves hobonichi monthly kit. I also got a full sheet of buy cat treats stickers to keep track on when I buy my kitties treats. Finally the foiled stickers I brought where the plan, camera icons and pay day foiled stickers. I really love her foiled stickers so much I have actually put another order in for a couple other sheets. I also got a load of samples from other stores and from her own store which was well worth buying in the sale for. Overall these two orders were well worth the wait and also I got theses on my birthday week so it made it extra special. Check out theses two amazing stores and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So a couple of weeks ago I got myself a new book of shadows. This was because I completed my A4 book of shadows way earlier than I thought I would. I did plan on have it for the whole year up to samhain where I started it. I must of just worked in it more this year than I had planned which is a great thing because it meant I put time aside to work in my book of shadows which is what I wanted to do this year anyway. So I decided to get a smaller book of shadows, this one is A5. I decided this because I wanted to have a better size that I could write in and take with me on my travels if I am travelling for work or with friends. I also wanted to get a book of shadows that wasn't going to costs £100s because I do work in my book of shadows more now than I did and I know they wont last as long for my workings. This book of shadows only cost me £30 of a seller on etsy. Now she uses leather but the leather is off animals that have already died so no harm comes to the animals. This really spoke to me because I love the leather bond books but I hate the fact animals do get hurt by the product of the book. I will be going back to this seller in the future because she is very talented in what she does and the paper in theses books are amazing. They are not handmade paper like my other books of shadows in the past which means I can use more inks and colours within this book of shadows. Thats something I wanted for a long time and I am really happy with this book because of it. The book itself has 100 sheets of paper so 200 double sided sheets I can work within. She has so many different books and folders ect that when I get paid a good month again I will be getting a couple of items from her for future use. I also like the idea of she does bundle books for £30 roughly. Theses books are made of a cheaper material and not as beautiful as the one I got but they are beautiful in their own way and thats something I will most likely get in the future. Depending on how fast I fill this one up. Overall I am looking forward to working with this book, bear in mind by the time this post goes up I will of had this book for over a month. Lets see how long this one lasts. I hope you like this post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is going to be an introduction to a new series of posts. Now that the sunday pagan life series has come to an end, I have been thinking about what my next year long series will be. Now this one may continue longer than a year depending on how popular it becomes. Over my many years on this path I have collected many books with useful spells in, many spells in my many books of shadows and a lot of spells from past subscription boxes. I thought that I may as well share some of theses useful spells with you all on a weekly or fortnightly bases. I have many spells for different sabbats which will come in handy for the following year but I have handfuls of jar spells, candle magic and herb blending that could be really useful to you all. Like I stated before I have been on this path for many years and I have collected so many useful spells and rituals that was shared with me or I created. As always I will state where the spell is from and if I can depending on how long ago I wrote the spell down who was the owner of that said spell. I will be spending much of my free time going through my many books of shadows to find spells that are useful and some weird and wonderful ones that I have personally used as well. I hope you enjoy the new series that will be on a sunday. From this moment I will be posting them fortnightly as it goes to the winter seasons but if it does become popular over the next couple of months I will then start posting weekly. I have already planned out some posts that I know ill be helpful to you all. I hope to see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's post is one we look forward to each month. This months box is jam packed with goodies to help celebrate marbon and also to cheer you up if your down. (like I was last week) So like normal we will go through the information sheets first as they are amazing source of information and freyas cauldron put so much information and time in creating theses sheets just for us. As always the first information sheet is the introduction to the box with loads of information about each item that was included in this months box. The second information sheet is all about the herbs we got in this months box. I will go into more details about this later on once I get to the herbs. The is also a information sheet about the crystal I got in this months box which is again I will go through in more detail later on in this post. Theres a information sheet and spell for a restful sleep pillow which I also got a kit for in this months box. I am looking forward to making this, this week and I may even share it with you all in a post. The last sheet of information is jam packed with information about the herbs for gods and goddess's and is really handy to have included in your book of shadows. The next item I will be talking about is the oil I got in this months box. This months oil is lemon oil and it smells heavenly. Lemon oil is perfect for cleansing spells and for spells to clear paths ect. It also clears prospective for divination and raises awareness and inspires movement to a higher spiritual plane. The next item is the spell candles, which we always get in each box. I love getting theses because I use candles all the time. The colours I got in this months box is pale blue, white and red which are prefect colours for this months celebrations. Next is the herb pots that I got in this months box. I got some beautiful smelling rose petals and some red clover which I don't have in my collection so I am really happy to add to my stash. I also got a sleep herb blend that goes with the sleep pillow kit that I mentioned above. The crystal I got in this months box is a red calcite which is beautiful. I have already added this to my altar, its beautiful. I also got a beautiful black enamel pentagram pendant, for me though I wont be able to wear this as I am sensitive to nickle but I will make this into a charm for my bag. I got a mouseloft cross stitch kit of a witchy which I thought was really cute. I will so be adding this to my sewing stash for a future project. The best items that I got in this months box was the pestle and mortar and the handcrafted stand which is beautiful. I will be adding this to my altar because theses are just soo beautiful. Overall this months box is no disappointment its such a great box to have, well worth the money and well worth the monthly wait. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is a bit of a haul and a review mixed in one. I have been looking at theses two books for a while and with my local bookstore being the works and books there are really cheap as you can see from the image, I couldn't really say no. The first book I brought was the house witch by Arin Murphy-Hiscock. I own another of their books which is the green witch book. This book was only £3 at the works bookstore so it was a good bargain. As I have started to do I will share the blurb with you all so you get a feel about this book and see why I had to get it. book 1 Blurb: 'Home is a place of refuge, renewal, and creativity, where you begin and end each day. It is also trhe primary root of your energy and spirituality. The house witch works to honour and strengthen that sacred space, making it as simple, peaceful, and nourishing as possible. She explores and uses the magic of the home. While other spiritual paths often look beyond the home to focus on the natural world, the house witch creates a solid and supportive place to work from - a literal home base. In the house witch you'll explore the energies of hearth and home and learn how you can create a spiritual haven for yourself and your loved ones in today's busy world. This guide also contains ritual suggestions, recipes for sacred foods, directions for missing bl;ends and potions, and more. Where you find shelter and nourishment is an important part of who you are. Embrace the world of the house witch and discover what the power of the home has in store for you.' As you can see from the blurb is all about balance and creating a positive home where you can relax and build your energy up from your busy life. Its something that has me drawn to and I really can't wait to start reading this. The second book I brought was the good spell book. This one also was £3 and had drawn me in as it was a simple but effective book to have in my collection. Book two blurb: 'Bring the power of magic into your everyday with theses fun and easy to use spells, charms, potions and more. Using common household ingredients, The good spell book provides answers to the problems we all face in our day to day lives; from winning a job and alleviating illness to abstracting the one you love. Whether your a complete beginner, advanced spell caster or simple curious, theses spells will increases your self worth and empower you to lead a healthier, happier and more fulfilled life.' This one is something that I will probably only go to when needed but for £3 I couldn't go wrong and it is a handy book to have in my collection when needed. I also brought myself a fabric dolly. This only cost me £1.50. I saw a youtuber use one of theses as a poppet for personal use and I thought it was such a great idea to have in my kit. I am still learning about poppets but when I am ready this little dolly with be there ready to be used. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is the last of the my pagan life challenge and the last question is: What have you learnt this year? What are your spiritual/pagan goals for next year? So my answer for the first question is so many things. I learned more about different gods and goddesses this year which was my plan from the beginning as I wanted to understand different deities and which ones I may like to work with in the future. I have also learned a lot about herbs and different blends that can help enhance health ect. The latest thing I have learned is about the Ogham Celtic runes which uses tree magic and that is where I am starting my new year learning. I do believe I have learned so many different aspects this year but theses are the main ones I remember learning. I also learned that working in my book of shadows weekly helped me connect more with my faith. I have started to work in a new book of shadows which will be full of spells and rituals ect and I have gotten three other books which are all handmade by the same seller as my book of shadows but I wanted to have set books for different topics. This will help me not fill my books as fast and also keep it to the main information in each. My green Celtic tree one is going to be my main focus book where I will write all my spell works and blends ect that I make. Then I have one for herbs, one for basic information such as the ogham that I am learning at the moment and the other may be kept as a spare or used for crystal work I haven't decided yet. I will go into more information in the future posts. To answer the second question my plan and goals for the following year is: - To learn more about Celtic magic and the magic about trees. - To learn more about tea readings and also palmistry as they are both aspects I would love to get into. - To work more with herbal blends in my craft and to enhance my understanding of herbs. - To continue to work in my multi books weekly depending on the subject and to work more with my altar now its been moved into my front room. I will most likely set more goals for myself which I will mention nearer samhain but for now I believe thats it for the my pagan life challenge. I hope you enjoyed following my weekly posts on this and I do hope you continue to enjoy my future posts when ever you stop by. I will see you all in the next posts, and if you have any ideas about future topics you would like me to work on let me know in the comments bellow. Until next time. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is slightly different than normal because its another planner like post. I stated in the last planner post that I brought myself some witchy planner stickers to funk my planner up and also to help me keep track on what is needed but without it being boring. This is from my first order. Now I have ordered more since than as they have had a sale ect. So there will be a bigger haul coming and I will wait until they are all here before doing another post but I wanted to share with you all theses fab stickers. If your a planner addict like me and love being very organised then you should check this shop out on etsy because she does so many really funky planner stickers and she has a whole section on witchy stickers. So as you can see I brought myself a load of witchy stickers which more are on the way. Theses will last me ages which is great because I will be stocked up for ages. I got myself a sheet of tarot spread stickers, a sheet of update book of shadows stickers, a sheet of birthday tracker stickers and a sheet of cute magical moons. I also got a sheet of crystal balls saying mystic as fuck and a sheet of potion bottles because they are amazing. I got a bigger sheet of deco witchy stickers which I plan to use in my planner and my book of shadows because they are fabulous. I then got a load of free samples which I think is just too cute. I have already used a load of theses stickers as I have been planning my next couple of weeks ahead so I have more time to focus on what needs to be done in my free time, with work being really busy lately. With each order you get a free sample of stickers and on theses stickers there is a little teddy bear that you keep and put on a loyalty card and if you get 10 of theses stickers you get £10 of free credit to use in her store which is fabulous. I have already got myself her Halloween box that I will be doing a post about in October when that arrives and I have already got her yule advert calendar for this christmas which I will do posts about when that comes too. I love my planner because its a space I can be creative in but also be very work related as at the moment I dont get much free time to do my creative stuff like I use to which is a shame but work is a priority at the moment. I hope you enjoy theses random planner posts and I will see you all in the next post. Also check her shop out on etsy if your a planner lover like myself. Her name is craftyplanning and shes amazing. Blessed be x MissDoomie x |
