Merry meet everyone, So today's post is all about the water dragon blessing. I thought it would fit very well to the ending of the water element series. This will not be the very last because I will do more in the future but I had plans for future posts. "Great guardian of all that flows, I call on your wisdom and grace, Grant me the wildness of leaping streams, And the slow strength of wide rivers, Help me see deep into the mysteries hidden in water, And hold deeply within the treasures offered by this world, Swim gently in the ocean of my heart until the time comes, To life your head and unleash the waterfalls roar. I just love this blessing its just so beautiful to read. I hope you enjoyed the water element series and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone,
Today's question is: What does this time of year mean to you? Well knowing its coming to the end of February soon and spring is just around the corner, I would say this time of year means the beginnings of new stories and the waking up of mother earth. I even have a plan to make a little green house this spring and grow some herbs that I can use within my kitchen and my magical works. It also means the world will soon get warmer and the wet weather has just began haha. Beltane is coming up in march which I really look forward to. I didn't get to celebrate imbolc as I was in work which was a shame because I had many things planned for the celebration. I am hoping I get a chance to celebrate Beltane even if its just planting seeds around that time. I love this time of year because its not only three family members birthdays but also the fact valentines day has been and gone. I also love the fact that this time of year means I have been planning a lot of different posts for the following year. I love planning ahead because this blog is a big love in my life and with work being the way work is I sometimes don't have the time to plan posts. Which is why when I have my weeks off I plan a lot for this blog. Its a fun way to look back and what I have learned personally as well. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's herb is rosemary. Rosemary is one of the main herbs many witches use and is a key herb in many kits. Used in magic since ancient times, this versatile herb which is easy to grow and harvest is kept dried for future uses. Rosemary was said to bring newly married couples luck and longevity and was always included in a brides garland or bouquet. Every part of the rosemary bush can be used, even the dried stems once foliage has been removed. The stems retain their earthy, wood aroma. It is said to grow where women are master. Where rosemary grows, a woman power flows. I personally use dried rosemary in the shower because its a great way to cleanse yourself from negativity and also protect yourself from hex's and other bad magic that may go your way. Magical uses include: Longevity, remembrance, protection, dreamwork, meditation, grief, purification, empowerment, spiritual clarity, abundance, cleansing, hex breaking, banishment, focus, healing, positivity and transformation. This is one of my fave herbs to keep in my own herb kit because its used in so many aspects of magic. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, Today is only going to be a short post but a handy one if your wanting to know how to do water visions. You will need: - A bowl of water, - One candle (choose colour of candle depending on your intention) Light candle and set bowl in a place close to the candle. This is to catch or reflect the candle flame in the water. Once you can see this say: "Water shining, Water deep, Bring me answers, That I seek" Ask your questions and watch for the images to appear in the water. This may also work with images in your mind. I hope this helps you for future reference and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie Merry meet everyone,
So todays question is: How does spirituality relate to your mundane life? Now this is a good question and I know this will affect people differently but for me it helps me keep positive. I can wait up feeling down in my little dark whole that I call my anxiety and I can just sit there feeling like the world is crushing me or I can get up and be positive. Now it’s easier said than done so for me I meditate. I close my eyes and focus on what’s good about my life or my world that I am surrounded by. I also ask mother earth to give me strength to help me get through the day. I also hold a special place for my herbal teas and crystals because they can help boost my mood and help me feel calm and relaxed. I have needed that a lot lately with work being a full time thing at the moment with so many people off and needing cover to things that are effecting my life that I need to get my head around. I feel more positive when I am out within nature because I know mother earth is there looking over me. The wind that blows past and the smell of flowers and the leafs of the trees just calms me. I do know that for me since I reconnected with my faith it’s brought me a real calm over my life. I still have bad days but not as much as I did and for that I am so thankful. I hope to hear about your spiritual journeys and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's herb is eye-bright or also known as euphrasia. This botanical plant got its name from the Greek goddess of joy and mirth, euphrosyne. This herb is used in spells that aid you in rising about negative situations, which will aid you to see things clearly and help you though the situation. This herb can also be used to be dabbed on your eyelids and the third eye to bring about psychic vision. I personally haven't tried this yet but many others have. The herb is also used to celebration thanksgiving and remembrance. Eye-bright used to be associated with thunderstorms. It was said that it would not be good idea to pick it on a hot summers day with thunder hanging in the air, since the lighting would strike where the eye-bright grew. Magical uses include: clairvoyance, psychic and spiritual connection, prophetic dreams, spiritual clarity, transformation and happiness. I hope you enjoyed this post full of information. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's post is the first subscription box of this year and its a new one that I am trying. I was looking forward to this box because I have read some good things about this box. This box cost me £25. Now this year I am doing subscription box reviews different as you can see I have added all the images into one big image so it follows better and is easier to get a good view of all the items that I receive in the box I am reviewing. Now the first thing I will be going on about is the fact that I love the information sheets. I got one that talked about everything inside the box and also a sheet about the herbs I got which will be transferred into my book of shadows. I may also add these to the list of herbs I am doing on Fridays posts. I also got two booklet like sheets about ostara and a ritual to do to celebrate the holiday. Which is again really handy and will end up in my book of shadows as I am redoing my sabbat pages. The second item I will be talking about is the chamomile oil that I got in this box. Now I am so thankful they put this in a little bag as the bottle with the oil in has leaked and the bag is very oily inside. I haven't opened this to smell the oil as I normally do but I love the smell of chamomile anyway so this oil will be used. The handy thing about getting subscription boxes as good as this one is the fact you get spell candles in the box each month. If you use them as much as I do its one of the simplest items that I get in this boxes that I love. This months candles are purple, black and green which I needed the green ones, So these are just the best. The two herbs I got in this months box which I haven't received before, these are called : sheep sorrel and bladderwrack. I love getting herbs that I haven't gotten or heard of before. It helps me build on my knowledge and also my book of shadow herbs chapter. I do believe this is one of my favourite items in this box and thats the raw tiger eye chunk. I do love my crystals and tigers eye is one of my favourites as well. This will look fabulous on my altar for this month. I also got a moonstone chip bracelet which with the weather warming up I will be wearing my bracelets more and this item is a happy addition to my ever growing collection. I love getting spell kits because it helps me build upon my book of shadows with spells that are useful and also ones I know have been used and worked. I also love the fact that I got two handmade items in this box which is the ostara altar tile which will look good on my altar and the wooden salt bowl which is too cute. The wooden salt bowl is handy as I didn't have anything to hold my salt in before so this is just a welcomed addition to my altar. I also love the small brass candle snuffer as this is handy to have. I actually already own one that I got a year ago and is always used so this is a handy secondary which I can keep on display and also if I can't find my first. I have candles in too many rooms :D Incense cones are great and I do have a good collection of the cones but I personally use the incense sticks more than cones just because they work for me better. I do like using cones some times which these will be a good addition to my collection. Overall this box was a good introduction to the monthly boxes that freyas cauldron offer and I am really looking forward to next months box. I am also looking forward to what they will include in next months box because from the details they have on their website they do add some items that I know that other boxes don't offer so I really am looking forward to it. The boxes get sent out on the 5th of every month so keep your eyes out for next months box review. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today's magical herb or item is the pumpkin. Now the pumpkin seeds are used in many different aspects of magic from just used as offering to being in spells, and cooking. Pumpkins have a long history of being used in protective magic, this was originally from the Celtic side of the traditions which I personally follow more than other traditions. On samhain pumpkins where hallowed out and had a candle placed inside them to be placed outside your house to ward of evil spirits on the weakest day of the veil. Other veg that was used where turnips, gourds and other big veg that you could hollow out and have a candle inside. Many use to leave pumpkin seeds as offerings to those who came before us and whole pumpkins as offerings to their ancestors. This really worked well for the local wildlife too. The pumpkins one of the largest fruit in creation was its full of hundreds of seeds and had became a symbol of abundance. The magical uses for pumpkins is as followed: Granting wishes, protection, prosperity and abundance. I hope you found this very useful and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Merry meet everyone, So today post is about the element of water. The water element is believed to have a strong feminine connection and so is associated with all aspects of the goddess. The inverted triangle used to symbolised water is felt by some to symbolise the womb and so be fitting with this elements feminine association. Water is a healing and purifying element that is connected to the west. Water can be used in rituals involving love and other emotions and flowing water in nature such as a river or the sea can be incorporated into magical workings that focus on carrying away negativity or other unwanted aspects from your life. Here is a blessing for water: Here and now, I evoke the elemental force of water, The fluid of infinite shapes and forms, Flowing source of adaptability, emotion and life, I seek the pure spring within, That I might drink deep of change, Relationship, nourishment and grace, I call you forth to wash away, All that needlessly binds, And top move fluidly in this world, Oceans and river Ripple and rain, Water i call thee hence. I hope you enjoyed this post and I will see you all in the next one. Blessed be x MissDoomie x |
