Merry meet everyone, Today's post is another first impressions book review on the book called The element encyclopedia of magical creatures. Now I have only just brought this book myself after falling in love with the last book review of the same style of book from the series. I wanted to get this book because its beautifully written and it will help with my studies that I am currently interested in. Anyway as always I will share the blurb of this book with you and then talk more about why I wanted this book and why I think you should get this to have in your collection. Blurb: "Discover an incredible world full of every magical creature you could possible imagine..... From unicorns, salamanders, satyrs, giants, elves and trolls, to dragons, nymphs, mermaids, werewolves and griffins - Take an enchanting journey through the history, folklore and mythology of theses beasts from virtually every culture in the world. With stories and amazing facts on even the most obscure and mythological creature, this is a cornucopia of magic and myth". I brought this book second hand for £15 of a book seller on amazon and when I saw it I just couldn't leave it. I am at the moment really curious about other magical beings that may or may not have lived in our world. I have always had a hard time believing in other beings but as of late I was questioned something that really opened my mind. A friend of mine asked if I believed in spirits then why don't I believe in other beings too. Now this has really gotten me thinking about why I personally didn't believe and to be fair I kept coming up blank. I believed in fairies when I was a child so something must of changed. That being said I thought I should read into other magical beings and understand the history more which is why this book caught my attention. This week I have been looking for other books to add to my collection because of the lock down I wanted to stock up on subjects to study while I had the chance and this was one subject that has really caught my attention this week so I thought why not. The book itself is easy to read even though I have only read a couple pages its full of information that will keep me busy for awhile anyway. I would happily recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the magical beings in folklore and where our history comes from. As always you can keep updated on instagram by following me @paganvibesonly. I am looking for book recommendations if you wish to give me any books you want me to review send me a message on instagram and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I am always just a click away on instagram. As always I hoped you enjoyed this post and found it helpful and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be and stay safe x PaganVibesOnly x Comments are closed.
