Merry meet everyone, I have decided to do another post about theses books. I did one last year stating the same thing but I will always stand by the fact theses are really great beginner books to start off with. All the books I have in this pile apart from the top one was £4.99 and the top one has 3 books in one which was £8.99 on amazon. If you are starting out and unsure what path to take or even where to start theses books are amazing for you. They are all full of information and handy tips and tricks that you will need to know within your craft. Each book is based on a subject matter as you can see in the image above I have a good supply of them. I love her books even though I am not a beginner witch I always find them really interesting to read. I also love reading theses to refresh the knowledge I have because after years of being on this path you still need a good refresher every now and then. Most of theses I have gotten of my partner for christmas or birthdays because they were a cheap add on to a main present. I always have one or two of Lisa Chamberlains books in my book wish list for family members to know what I want. There are some of her books where I personally won't buy them because there not subjects I would read or need to read at my point of the path. But if you are starting out all her books are really helpful to you. The books I own from her are: - Wicca spell book starter kit (candle spells, crystal spells, herbal spells) 3 books in one. - Wicca wheel of the year magic, - Wicca candle magic, - Wicca essential oils magic, - Wicca herbal magic, - Wicca magical deities, - Wicca kitchen witchery, - Wicca tree magic. Even though I am not a wiccan but a pagan theses books are still really useful for my own craft. You don't have to be a wiccan to buy wiccan books. They just have a different style of magic and if your like me you just go were the information takes you. I still stand by my view that theses are the best books out there for a beginner witch just because they are cheap so they wont break the bank and they are jam packed with information. You wont feel over loaded reading theses because there easy to follow and great starter information on each subject. Try theses books out your self for free if you have a kindle because they are normally on offer or free when I look for them. I hope this post has been really helpful and convinced you to try theses books out. I am not in anyway getting paid to do this post either. All the books here has been gifted to me by family members or brought out my pocket. I don't get paid for any of my posts unless stated otherwise. This is just all from what I have learned about theses books and why I feel they would be perfect for starting out. Anyway if you have any questions or wanting to know which book to start with then pop me a message through instagram @paganvibesonly and I will get back to you as soon as possible. For now stay safe and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly xx Merry meet everyone, I have had this book in my pile of book reviews that have been needing to be done for months. So today's post will be a first impressions of the book which means sharing the book blurb with you all and why I wanted to get this book. Luckily for me I make a note about each book I buy just because I know it will take a while for me to get through them all. I do love my books. Blurb: "Unlock the magick of modern witchcraft and infuse your every day with happiness. Discover everything you need to know to become a modern witch, from working with tarot cards and healing crystals to learning how to harness the power of the natural world and understand the stars"/ So first of all this is very much a beginner book in most aspects. The reason I brought this book was because it had crystal grids inside and I wanted to learn more about them. Also for £5 I thought it would be a great book to review for you all and to share what I think of the book. Also looking inside the book its really fresh looking and is jam packed with information that even I will find really handy to use. There is 9 informational chapters in this book not including the introduction and the index. The chapters include: - Getting spiritual, - Finding your rituals, - Harnessing your cosmic energy, - Cleansing crystals and dispelling toxic energy, - Embrace your psychic power with tarot, - The magick of nature, - Everyday spellcraft, - Let the magick begin. Overall I do think this book is a great addition to my collection and a really great introduction book to the path for those just starting out. For the price it is well worth it and I am actaully looking forward to reading this one and seeing what more this book can offer me. I will be doing another post later on in the future about this book more once I have gotten round to reading this book. For now you can always follow me on instagram @paganvibesonly to be kept in the loop for all things witchy and what I do outside of this blog. I also post about books I have and am reading at that time. I do try to post daily but life does get in the way but I am always just one click away from a chat if you want to get in contact. For now I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will see you in the next one. Stay safe and blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, I am finally getting round to doing a first impressions post review on this book. This book has been sat on a pile of books waiting for me to get round to going through. So today's book review is on this book called witches ladders and other knot spells. I brought this book back in January for £5 from my local book shop because it caught my eye and I wanted to learn more about knot magic. As always I will share the blurb of the book with you and the go into more detail as to why I brought this book for my collection. Blurb: "Harness the secret power of enchanted knots. With a length of string, ribbon, cord or anything that can be knotted, you can quickly make magic work for you, whether to enchant new love into your life, change your fortune or manifest your dreams. This unique collection includes all powerful witches ladders, where additional talismans are woven in with the knots to reinforce the desired outcome, and unknotting charms , which banish all forms of negativity. Plus a magical knot directory provides the tools for making effective magic happen". So from the blurb you know why I wanted this book, I wanted to learn more about knot magic and witches ladders. I have heard so much about knot magic and the effective uses for them but never really understood it which is why this book stood out a lot for me. I have so many different things I want to learn about knot magic and this book seemed like it would help me with that. Looking through this book its easy to read and simple following steps and its beautifully pictured inside. I would personally recommend this book if you are wanting to learn more about knot magic too because its such a great book from what I've seen. I will be posting more about this book on my instagram if you want to keep updated with me and my blog follow me @paganbvibesonly to keep updated. As always I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be and stay safe x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, So with the lock-down being in effect I thought I may as well check out some of the little stores I have been following for years and finally put an order in. This store was one of them that was on my list and I just couldn't put it off any longer. This store is on etsy and I will add a link to their store at the end of this post for you all the check out yourselves. I have been following her store now for well over a year and have been meaning to put an order in probably the same amount. I do normally make my own oil blends because I found it was a way for me to connect more with it all but after trying theses I probably will buy theses more often. I had ran out of my sleep mist and couldn't make any more myself which is why I brought that spray and blend from WychOils. Now she has ruined me haha. I love her blend so much more than whatever I was doing and I have been using her spray now for over 2-3 weeks and I have had the best nights sleep within those weeks. Now you should know by now I don't sleep very well, its all goes back to 2012 with events that happened in my life but since then I have had such a hard time sleeping or even shutting my brain off. I spray the bedtime blend over my pillow and covers about 5 minutes before I get into bed and I use the bedtime roller blend on my wrists and within 5 minutes I'm off to the dreamland's with no problems what so ever. If that wasn't good enough for you then the fact my boyfriend hates lavender but really loves the smell of this spray has won me over. Now the bedtime blend spray cost me £4 which is well worth it because I am so much more focused now having a good night sleep. The bedtime spray has Ylang Ylang, rose, lavender, chamomile oils in with the extra boost of rose quartz and amethyst crystal chunks in the bottle. Well worth the money! The bedtime roller blend is £5 because its more intense and also is used with a carrier oil instead of the water blend in the spray. The bedtime roller has Ylang Ylang, rose, chamomile, lavender, almond oil as a carrier and again rose and clear quartz crystals as an extra bonus. But again well worth the money and I already want more of theses. The other roller I got was in a gift set for £8 I got to chose my roller blend and a charka bracelet which as my other broke that I got last year I thought this was such a great offer. The roller I got in this offer was the anxiety blend which smells amazing. I normally use this in the morning when I go out for my daily walk while in this lock down. I have bad anxiety anyway but this has helped improve that a lot and again it smells heavenly. The anxiety blend has lemongrass, cypress, bergamot, almond oil and rose and clear quartz crystals as an added bonus. You also get an information sheet about the different charkas with this gift set which was really handy for me. Over all I spent £18.95 because the shop at the moment has 15% off if you spend so much which worked out great for myself. I would highly recommend this shop for all the essential oil blends you wish to try and after all supporting little shops is a must with the world the way it is at the moment. Help the little shops not the big shops is my view. If you want to keep updated on all things witchy away from the blog then follow me on instagram @paganvibesonly. I am always just one click away if you wish to chat or if you want me to try your shops products let me know. I am always happy to check out small stores. I hope you all are staying safe in this crazy time and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Link to WychOils etsy shop here : https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WychOils Merry meet everyone, Now this post I have been looking forward to for a while now because its something very close to my heart. I love supporting local small shops because they need the money more than big companies and at the end of the day they have the best products and offers going. My witchy friend Jemma has been going on about this crystal shop on instagram for months and I have been following them but never really brought anything because at the time I was going to my local witchy shop in Liverpool and buying a lot of stuff there. Don't get me wrong I will still go to my witchy shop in Liverpool but I will be first going to Auramoon crystals from now on. This isn't because ones a big chain in fact there both small shops but the amount of crystals I get from Auramoon crystals instead of the Liverpool shop for the same price is amazing. As you all should know by now I am a big lover of crystals. I have so many now that they are taking over and I don't think it will ever change much either. Now this big crystal haul is actually two weekends of sales. I think in future I am just going to get Becky the owner to hold on to them and get them all at once because the wait is just worth it. Now I don't really want to say how much I spent on crystals in the last two weeks but for this post I really need to let you know how amazing the prices was so here goes. Aura crystals does sales and auctions every weekend. She has theses amazing £5 and under sales which most of theses are from but then she also has story sales for all the big priced beauties. I am a big lover at the moment for point crystals and was over the moon to grab the ones I could. I have 5 new crystal points and a beautiful flame crystal now in my collection and the price ranged between £8 and £2 each for them all. The flame quartz was £8 and the small amethyst crystal was £2. A lot of the points I got were around £5 in the £5 and under sale which again is amazing! The bags of crystal chips were £5 each. I have one moonstone bag and two jasper bags which for the price was a bargain and a half! I also got a palm lepidolite crystal which is just beautiful and that was only £5 or may be £4 I can't remember how much I brought that one for. It was also in the £5 and under sale so its one of the two haha. I also got two beautiful square cube crystals one was moss agate and the other a mahongany obsidian and both together was only £3 which was such a great bargain. Overall check her shop out shes on instagram @auramooncrystals and she also has an amazing shop on etsy which I will link at the end. For her sales you need to follow her on instagram so you dont miss anything though. The full list of crystals I brought are: - Flame quartz crystal £8 - Agate crystal point £5 - Flower agate point £5 - Moss agate point £7 - Gemmy amethyst point £6 - Amethyst point £2 - Moonstone chips £5 - Jasper chips x2 £5 each - Moss agate and mahongany obsidian cubes £3 - Lepidolite palm crystal £4-5 - Fluoride crystal diamond shaped £2 Oh and with each order I got a couple of freebie crystals and a thank you for buying from her which are super cute and will come in handy for my crystal grids I am working on. Overall I spent way too much on crystals but so worth it haha. When I say I spent too much on crystals my budget on crystals each month is probably half of what I spent the past month and she keeps tempting me with her sales too. I can't wait to add theses with the rest of my crystals later on today and I will be hopefully doing my altar so some of theses beauties will be added to that altar too. I hope you enjoyed this little haul post. I have posted a load of pretty photos of my new crystal additions and you can check them out on instagram @paganvibesonly. Please check out Auramoon crystals shes just amazing and the crystals she gets are amazing. Please bare in mind I have brought all this crystals myself and I am not being paid to praise auramoon crystals I just feel like she has earned it. If there is any other small shops out there that you wish for me to try out send them my way and I will see what I like from each shop. We should all be supporting smaller shops at this moment and to be fair you get better deals and service from smaller shops than you do from bigger chains. Auramoon crystals etsy shop : https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/AuraMoonCrystals?ref=pr2018_faveshops I hope you enjoyed today's post and that you are all staying safe at the moment. I will see you all in the next post :) Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is another first impressions book review on the book called The element encyclopedia of magical creatures. Now I have only just brought this book myself after falling in love with the last book review of the same style of book from the series. I wanted to get this book because its beautifully written and it will help with my studies that I am currently interested in. Anyway as always I will share the blurb of this book with you and then talk more about why I wanted this book and why I think you should get this to have in your collection. Blurb: "Discover an incredible world full of every magical creature you could possible imagine..... From unicorns, salamanders, satyrs, giants, elves and trolls, to dragons, nymphs, mermaids, werewolves and griffins - Take an enchanting journey through the history, folklore and mythology of theses beasts from virtually every culture in the world. With stories and amazing facts on even the most obscure and mythological creature, this is a cornucopia of magic and myth". I brought this book second hand for £15 of a book seller on amazon and when I saw it I just couldn't leave it. I am at the moment really curious about other magical beings that may or may not have lived in our world. I have always had a hard time believing in other beings but as of late I was questioned something that really opened my mind. A friend of mine asked if I believed in spirits then why don't I believe in other beings too. Now this has really gotten me thinking about why I personally didn't believe and to be fair I kept coming up blank. I believed in fairies when I was a child so something must of changed. That being said I thought I should read into other magical beings and understand the history more which is why this book caught my attention. This week I have been looking for other books to add to my collection because of the lock down I wanted to stock up on subjects to study while I had the chance and this was one subject that has really caught my attention this week so I thought why not. The book itself is easy to read even though I have only read a couple pages its full of information that will keep me busy for awhile anyway. I would happily recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about the magical beings in folklore and where our history comes from. As always you can keep updated on instagram by following me @paganvibesonly. I am looking for book recommendations if you wish to give me any books you want me to review send me a message on instagram and I will get back to you as soon as possible. I am always just a click away on instagram. As always I hoped you enjoyed this post and found it helpful and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be and stay safe x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, Today's post is a book review or first look review of the book The element encyclopedia of 5000 spells book. I got this book for a Easter present of my nan because I have been wanting this book for years. As always I will share the blurb with you and then talk about why I wanted this book and what it could mean for my path. Blurb: "Enter the world of folklore, Myth and Magic. Five thousand spells spanning five thousand years of magical history from earth's every corner. Discover binding spells and banishing spells, spells for love, luck, wealth, power, spiritual protection, physical healing , enhanced fertility and much more. Any reader uses the spells entirely at their own risk and the author and publisher accept no liability if the spells do not have their desired effect or if adverse effects are caused". So as you have just read this book has over five thousand years of history and spell workings. Its one of those books that will have so many different stories just to bring those spells to working order. I love the idea of having this book to fall back on when needed and for that its been in my wish list for many years. There all different kinds and types of spell workings in this book and I haven't even touched the surface of this book. I have spend this week reading the first couple of pages of this book and its amazing. Its jam packed with useful information and spell workings that I can put aside and use in the future. It has spell workings I wouldn't even think of using but is handy to have just to research and understand. The history thats in this book is what caught my attention and the fact that its jam packed with amazing spells and useful information just helps its case. I would highly recommend you looking into this book yourself and even getting a copy for your collection or borrowing it from a friend who may have it and jotting some workings out for future use. I will be sharing some of the spells from this book in the future when I feel the need to share some. But that being said its well worth you getting this book for your own studies. I hope you do check this book out and I hope you found this post useful. As always you can keep in touch with me on instagram @paganvibesonly where I post daily about updates on the blog, what I am doing and of course witchy wonders. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be and stay safe x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, So today I have a little haul of items I want to go through such as books, crystals and even some planner bits! So the first bit is my crystal haul that I got from magic willow in Liverpool. Now you should all know I love my crystals but I am now starting to collect more crystal points and wands rather than tumble stones because I do have a huge collection of tumble stone crystals. I am still getting tumbled crystals for the ones I don't own but my focus is now the wands and points. That being said the crystal haul I have is two tumble stones and two crystal points. The crystal points are Tourmaline quartz point which cost me £7.50 and a Amethyst point which cost me £9. Now I have been after the tourmaline quartz for awhile now and I was over the moon when I saw magic willow having them in their store. I always go to Magic willow because their prices are really affordable and I know the owner knows her stuff. The two tumble stone crystals I got from her store also included Blood-stone and a Jade. Now I don't own a blood-stone and the shape of this stone really called out to me. I have been told that this crystal is for cleansing which is handy to keep on my altar. I also got the Jade because I lent my Jade crystal out to a family member of mine and I haven't gotten it back. Jade crystals are great for good luck and great for looking for new jobs ect. Now the book side of my haul includes three books that I have been waiting to do book reviews on for awhile which should be coming in the next following weeks. I have posted pictures of theses on my instagram if you were wondering what they looked like but you will get a full down low on theses books when the posts come. The first book I got was the witches ladders and other knot spells book by Sarah Bartlett. Now this has been on my pile of books to do a post about for about two months or so. I still haven't read this book because I have so many to get through now haha. But this book is still in the Works bookshop in the UK for about £5. It does look like its going to be a really useful book which is why I brought it myself. I would highly recommend you grab yourself one while stocks last and hopefully my review will not be too long now. My second book I actually got in the sale at the Works bookshop for £2. This book is Inner Magic a guide to modern witchcraft. Now this one I couldn't pass up because of the price. I have had a look inside and it does look quite simple to read but without having a deep read into it I wont be able to speak much more about it. I also plan on doing a post review on this one in the next couple of weeks. The last book today is another buy from the Works bookshop for £5 and I know this is still there as its a new addition to their shop. The book is called the modern witch's guide to happiness by Luna Bailey. Now this book really caught my eye. Its one of the reasons why I brought it on the day it came in. Its such a big book with a hard cover and the inside is easy to read and full of information. I am really looking forward to doing my book review on this in the next couple of weeks. Now for the planner side of things I am now an official PR girl for craftyplanning. I have been buying her stickers since way last year and have been really loving her witchy planner stickers and kits too. Its made me fall in love with planning again and it has also made me more creative in my book of shadows. That being said her witchy stickers is the reason why I had fallen in love with her shop in the first place. She is a fellow witch herself so she knows what we will keep track off in our planners what deco we would like and of course the kits! I will be doing more planner related posts in the next couple of weeks including what I have done in my witches planner up to till now. But I wanted to share with you all my code for 15% off which is cpsbethany. You should really check out her shop because its amazing and the owner is a good friend of mine. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/CraftyPlanningShop?ref=pr2018_faveshops Anyway I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will see you all in the next one. Follow me on my instagram PaganVibesOnly to keep up dated with all things witchy and of course I am always there to chat. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, So today I will be reviewing the moon magic kit I got from my local book store. I was drawn to this because I would like to learn more about the magic of the moon and also see if I can connect with it more. I have always been drawn to the moon but I haven't really connected with it like I have with other aspects of my magical path. This kit was on sale too which really encouraged me to get it there and then instead of waiting for pay day. As always I will share the blurb with you of the book but I also am going to share the information side of the cards as well so you get a good idea of what this kit can do. Book blurb: "The moon's mystical influence on tides and water have made it a symbol of fertility, regeneration and wild, natural power for millennia. Now you can discover more about this bewitching celestial body, and its natural energy and impact in your own life! Learn how to harness the power of the moon's phases for everyday life, and follow the simple step-by-step guides to complete a range of magical projects, including planting a lunar garden and creating a lunar talisman. Explore fascinating lunar facts and legends; moon deities, angles and animal totems; and lunar astrology, numerology and calender's!" I haven't read through it yet but the quick over view I've done makes me feel like this book was well worth it. I am really looking forward to learning more from this book. Lunar oracle cards blurb: "Lunar oracle cards are a toll you can use to connect to the power of the moon. Being aware of the moons energies and how they affect your inner self will allow you to mange your thoughts and emotions and adapt your behaviours to create a personal environment that is in tune with your needs, hopes and desires. Remember that cards that may seem ominous are actually providing you wish the foreign and knowledge to channel your energies towards changing what might otherwise be a negative outcome or experience into a positive one.]Also, don't be misled by the moon sign cards: if you draw the moon in Aquarius card but the moon is currently in Sagittarius, it was still the card you were meant to choose and will be relevant to you" See the cards seems a little more in depth and harder to handle but I think after playing around with them a bit they will be easier to use too. I hope you check out this kit and with them still being on sale in the Works bookshop in the uk you may as well grab a bargain. I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x Merry meet everyone, So today I will be talking about the Celtic Tree Magic book by Danu Forest. Now I got this for christmas of my partner because it has been on my wish list for well over a year now. I have been interested in learning more about my Celtic roots and knowing theres so much out there surrounded by magic I wanted to get as much information and to learn as much as I can. I love the idea of the Ogham lore and the druids, with their base on magic and thats was driving me with my magical studies this year. As always I will share the blurb with you all so you get a better understanding on what this book contains and why I was drawn to it in the first place. Blurb: "A trusted and guiding hand through the Celtic forests of wisdom and magic. Explore the powerful magic of the twenty-five trees in the ogham tradition. Enrich your spiritual practice with authentic Celtic wisdom and practical techniques. Written by a druid witch and Celtic shaman, Celtic tree magic shows you how to: -Practice ogham divination, charms and spells. -Work with each tree's magical correspondences and healing attributes. -Make salves, tinctures, ointments and green crafts. -Find tree spirit allies in nature and the other-world. -Fashion wands and other magical tools. With exercises, hands-on tips and an accessible exploration of folklore and myth, this lovely and lyrical handbook provides practical skills and deeper understandings for beginners and intermediate practitioners." So not only will I be learning about the practice of ogham which is one of the languages I learned last year while working in my book of shadows, I will be learning how to use what nature gives me within my everyday life and also within my magical life. I am really looking forward to learning more about this book and the roots that my family has to the Celtic path. I hope I will learn enough to share some posts with you all in the future but for now check the book out for yourself and let me know how you find it. As always you can contact me or keep up to date with my instagram account @PaganVibesOnly for all your witchy needs and I will see you all in the next post. Blessed be x PaganVibesOnly x |
