Merry meet everyone, So I got a card deck with a magazine that I brought and I thought it would be a good idea to use these at the beginning of each month to do a reading to see what crystal we should use that month and the meaning and advice they give us. I thought it would create a cute and simple post each month that you could follow or use if needed. I love following blogs that gives monthly card reads that can give you advice and also give you inspiration that may effect that month for you. For one I follow a blog that the creator of the blog does monthly tarot card readings, just one card a month that she shares with her followers that could help inspire them for that month or even help them with a problem by making them think about the answer of the card she posted. I would love to do something similar to that each month with the crystal cards because I am a big believer that crystals can help with everything and can improve your mood as well. I would love to hear what you guys think about this, would you enjoy a short and sweet post each month with a crystal draw to may help and inspire you for that month? or do you think I should focus on other posts and series? Let me know in the comments bellow and I will see you in the next post. :) Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hey all, So today I will be talking about Isis the Egyptian goddess of life and death. I have been connected to this goddess my whole life because she was on my family altar growing up and my mother worked with her where as I grew up respecting her I never really worked with her and my craft. So when the witches circle app created the challenge and added the Egyptian gods and goddesses as a week challenge and I had to jump at the chance to join in on the challenge. I thought it would be a good idea to post it here as well to share the information I had known and also what extra I found out while looking into her more. So Isis the Egyptian goddess of life and death has the ability to heal, and was known as a great healer. She is also known to be able to bring back the dead with one touch. She can cure the sick and heals the worthy followers. Many pagan follow her as a goddess because she is just pure amazing. Isis has a strong link to the Egyptian kingship. She represented as a strong beautiful women wearing a sheath dress and cows horns on her head. Shes normally wearing the colour god which for Egyptians god means money and wealth. The myth that follows Isis is that she is the daughter of the earth god Geb and the sky goddess Nut. She is also the sister off Osiris, Seth and Nepthys. She married Osiris king of Egypt, Isis was considered a good queen who supported her husband and she taught women how to weave, bake and brew beer. Even after the disappearance of her husband she couldn't forget or move on from him. Her love for him was so strong that way. She looked for him to the point she found out his brother Seth has killed him out of jealously. Her brother Nepthys with his bird like wings flied all over Egypt to collect the body parts of her beloved. All body parts were found apart from his penis, which was lost to all. Using her magic powers she made her husband whole, neither living or dead, he was bandaged and became a mummy. Nine months after Isis bore him a child son Horus. Osiris was forced to become the king of the dead in the underworld. There is so much of the myth that surrounds Isis I could be here all day talking about her. Her whole life she was loyal to her husband and son. Even cared for the brother who caused her great pain by his actions. Shes a great strong women that inspires me daily. Even though I don't work with her I have great respect for her and what she had to go through all those years ago. Shes a great inspiration to women all over the world and for that she truly is a goddess. I hope you enjoyed todays post and I will see you again in the next post. Blessed be x MissDoomie x Hello all, So I have decided to do a year long challenge. It will make me think about my pagan path and also gives me a way to connect to you all on a more basic level. There will be topics that I have covered before but my answers may be different because after all I am always learning new aspects of this path. I thought I may as well do this as my Sunday post. I know in July I decided to keep Sundays a me day to post what ever I want, that becomes quite hard when the isn't anything none witchy to say that week. August was a busy month for me and I have thought long and hard on this and have decided that doing this year long challenge starting from my birthday weekend may actually be fun. I will learn aspects of myself that I haven't really thought about and I will continue to learn more about my path. In a way it will be a journal of sorts with a theme question to think about. I am really looking forward to this and I do hope you guys look forward to it too. It would be fun if you followed along and answered the questions too either within your own journal or book of shadows. Its always a good idea to keep in mind how much you have learned that year and how far you have come in your path. This post is the introduction to the year long challenge so from next week I will be doing this challenge. I hope you enjoy the future posts and continue to follow me on my path. Blessed be x MissDoomie x |
